Need Help New Construction Windows
Comments (2)You are not exactly choosing the cheapest window if you are looking for a color to the exterior and wood to the interior. Marvin Integrity is probably the best of the bet in that case....See Morenew construction need help with picking out windows
Comments (79)Its not the OP who will see legal issues...its the modular company who had their architect sign off on the plans that will get sued in the end. Even in Yankee Barn attempts to go after the OP, the OP can turn around and go after the modular company. Since it sounded like OP was already planning to change the plans and was in the early stages I doubt Yankee Barn would go after OP. At this point either the plans were changed heavily or OP could hire a contractor to finish off the inside of the house and avoid showing the town building department as much as possible. I doubt Yankee Barns legal team would waste funds to take someone to court over an online discussion board. If OP had to pay for plans in the first place...its highly likely that the modular company contacted Yankee Barns architect and bought them. Its 2018 and with websites like this i doubt a modular company would risk it....See MoreHelp! Need to pick windows for new construction in Upstate SC.
Comments (17)Hello Jbrig - Great question. The finish choice may be influenced by your location. Coastal applications usually require the 2605 finish but people throughout the U.S. may request the upgrade if they want to be assured of extended longevity of the finish. Seeing that you are in upstate South Carolina, but not knowing exactly where, the 2605 finish may be a wise choice. You may have already seen this, but for reference, I am providing a link to our clad colors brochure PDF, There is a table on the back page with additional information on coastal weathering and the differences between the two specifications: AAMA 2604 and 2605 Information In addition, here are a few more details about the paint system that I hope will help with your decision: Windsor factory applied heat-cured painted finishes are durable and very colorfast. The Super Durable Polyester TGIC and Fluoroset® resin-based paints block damaging ultraviolet rays of the sun and repel general air pollution. They will not whiten or pit when exposed to dew, fog, rain or acid rain and will retain their color and gloss level for many years, based respectively on meeting AAMA 2604 or 2605 specifications. However, to assure that they retain their original beauty, even these highly durable finishes should be cleaned occasionally. When selecting a cleaning solution, use mild soap solutions and avoid using strong acid or alkali cleaners as they may damage the finish. If I can be of further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out....See MoreNew construction need help choosing paint colors.
Comments (0)Need help with choosing 3 paints colors for our house to go well with cabinet colors and tile colors chosen. Our kitchen and living room face north, dining room faces south. We have 10’ ceilings on bottom floor and bedroom have cathedral ceilings. The cabinets color is “fog” and the island color is a darker color “dusk”. Our fireplace has shiplap and is going to be same color as trim. We have dark gray couches. We want our house to feel big but also feel cozy if that’s possible. We like grays but don’t want to over do it and have the house to feel to “cool”. If you could give me advice on Sherwin william paints that would be great. Ideas on fixtures would be great too. Thanks!...See MoreBritta Morris
