Paint Color advice for Open floor plan that match wood tones

Hello! We are renovating the kitchen in our 1970s house. We took out two walls to open the kitchen up to the living and dining room. We live in the northwest with long dark winters. The living room has wood tongue and groove and dark wood beams. Right now it is green. We are painting kitchen, dining and most likely the living room. What colors do you suggest to match the wood of the ceiling and white cabinets? I love the greige look but I think it may be too gray for all the wood. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Edgecomb gray, Clay Beige, Manchester Tan, Sea Pearl. I would get a few samples & paint them on different places to see what you like in different lighting.

I did get a sample of edgecomb gray and so far that's my favorite. I will check out those other colors, thanks for the suggestions!

Putting beige and gray together in the same space used to be frowned on, but lately I've seen this done rather successfully, for instance where the rug was gray and the upholstery beige. With my light beige upholstery my new carpeting is going to be a warm gray color called London Fog which I would say is more or less greige. However, for a wall color I would probably choose something lighter, more like the solid color of your rug. It's already next to the "yellow" floor and I don't think it clashes. That color would lighten up your living room considerably and make the art on the wall pop more.

The backsplash definitely has green tones in it. Along with a slight rust/Red. Not my style at all, but it’s not crappy enough to warrant redoing. So we live with it and make it work. Is the idea that the cool grays will contrast with the green too much and thus draw attention to it? This is a beach house, facing east, so I had originally thought to do a cool gray/blue... but thank you for pointing out that those tones will contrast too much. I appreciate the information!!!

The blue and green and brown are going...once 2 walls separating kitchen are gone it will all be open. It's gonna be a large space and new color will have to go down hallway too. Not sure what will look best with the carpet, trim and kitchen cabs. Go all one color? Go a darker hue of same color around cabinets/foyer? Do an accent wall? Keep it simple and just paint same color for everything?

Picture of the kitchen too - visible from the dining room and living room... I don’t really like any any of the colors in the kitchen right now. Definitely not my “style”. Im hoping to tackling painting the cabinets and changing out the countertops to white, maybe making the island a different color like navy or blueish grey, but trying to take baby steps and pick out new floors and wall colors first. Huge props to professional designers and their talents, because just picking out a paint color has me paralyzed ... I can’t even imagine how I’m going to pick out flooring or colors for the kitchen next Very overwhelming 🥺😩

Thanks for the suggestions! And thanks for the compliment :) I debated putting the one of my girls but that picture really showed the wood and the green, lol! The pale oak is beautiful and I got some samples of clay beige and manchester tan. Thanks again!
