Looking for ideas for closet in open foyer
Comments (12)We have something similar across our front entrance. It is finished with Oak hardwood, same as the floors. I struggled for yrs. trying to figure out what to put there. I finally decided on three tall slim vases made from tin, imported from India I think, got them at Tuesday Morning. these are at one end and at the other end is a very large metal decorative plate about 24 inches across. I'll try to post pics for you. Also at Christmas time I make a scene of Byers Choice carolers up there. It always looks great....See MoreWhat do I do with this entryway space? Ugly utility closet!
Comments (11)If possible, paint it the same as the wall color. Then put a console table under it and either a mirror on the door or artwork....taking into consideration of the latch....with something hung within the frame, you probably won't notice the latch. If you have a plug in, put a lamp on the right side of the console and something low in front so that the door can be opened fast! If no plug in then put some pretty candle sticks on the right side and something low in front. Judging from the door knob on your door, this opening is quite high....maybe a taller chest of drawers would be better, but am thinking a console table would be best. Or you could go lower and put a pretty bench in front of the opening after you have painted the opening the same color as the wall....See MoreNeed ideas for weird closet space
Comments (31)I had a super deep and awkwardly placed cabinet in my bathroom. When I moved, I was surprised how much stuff had gotten shoved to the back of the cabinet and forgotten. I like the idea people had of using it to store luggage or Christmas decorations or things that get pulled out once a year. If it is to be a useful for bathroom, I would suggest the drawers since it would allow you to find the things lurking in the back. If you have whimsical little kids, close it off in the bathroom and open it from the side and create a magical little mini-reading room under the stairs (and turn it into storage when they get older)....See MoreNeed ideas on what to do with this short 3 inch space in Master Bath
Comments (9)Thank you everyone, seems the consensus is mostly nothing, except maybe some lighting. You are correct, I worried about cleanliness up there. I don't have this kind of space above my kitchen cupboards. There is about 1 inch above the kitchen ones, and they have no crown molding, so I plan to do some type of finish there to bring them to the ceiling. But this one, the Master Bath, I just wasn't sure about..... I am sure I will get used to that empty spot up there - and probably be really glad nothing is there that I would have to clean :)....See Moreflyr4fun
