Exterior trim color advice badly needed

I think we have settled on SW 6194 Basil for the house color only because I really like green houses. However, if you have an eye for color, please feel free to offer a different color. All I know is I hate this light blue.

We originally thought SW 6193 Privilege green with SW 6236 Grays Harbor, but I really want a slightly darker green house.

However, if we go with this darker green, I cannot figure out what color to paint the trim. Our garage door and our back facing windows have been replaced with a stone color and I don't want to paint them. (The front wood windows are the originals but will be replaced with the stone vinyl windows in the next year or 2.)

I just bought SW 9111 Antler Velvet to try with them (we think our windows are close to SW 9110 Malabar) and I don't like it at all.

If you have any advice, I would appreciate it. I like earthy colors. I like the idea of a blue trim with the Basil, but I really have no idea if that color combo would work AND I don't know which SW color.

The painter we hired uses Sherwin-Williams paint. Front and back photos of house attached. (House faces north.)

Mimi- I'm not a landscaper either...sounds like the crape myrtle you're describing is like one of mine, and it's an Acoma. Only gets to about 10', wider than tall, beautiful arching shape. That shape sold me- I actually wanted a pink. I applaud you for wanting to have suggestions for the builder. His people will most likely suggest bradford pears, and other problematic [though popular]choices that you will eventually pay someone else to remove. Check out serviceberry "Autumn Brilliance", to use instead of Bradford pears. I'm sure others will have ideas for you as well. Your house looks great! TD

If you like the look of the exposed window header, I would plan on 1x4 all the way around the window. It will allow the stucco to be cut back and for a nailing flange (and properly flashing) during the window installation. I like the architectural bronze or black color on the Tudor/Stucco combo, but this is all personal. Make sure they use a composite/PVC trim for long term durability. The rest of the questions are mostly color (i.e. personal), but I would go with a primary for the walls and one for the trim and that be it.

The white looks nice to me. It’s a very charming home, but I get wanting a change. If the mortar is gray, you can do a light gray trim and siding to match, then a complimentary color on the shutters. Something like Sherwin Williams Collonade gray or roycroft gray mist oe similar colors may work. That would probably mean having to paint the garage doors to so they wouldn’t stand out too much. A light taupe may also work. Do you have a closer pic of the brick? That will help with color selections. As for brand, I’m in the deep deep south and Sherwin Williams Super Paint has served me well. I would keep the trim and siding one color, and use the shutters and front door as the accent color. FWIW I’d also consider replacing the round hedges near the tree with smaller more colorful flowers or bushes.

With the windows and garage doors I would probably go with the same color for the fascia and gutters. I think white siding would look too stark in the gable ends. Something in the taupe family to bridge the dark trim/windows and the lighter brick would look nice.
