Schluter Trim PVC or Aluminum?
Comments (9)Here is the Schluter anodized aluminum Jolly edge in polished nickel in my daughter 's bathroom. And here it is in satin nickel in my kitchen Their Quadec style is available in stainless steel but it is quite a bit more expensive. The website shown in the post above this one, lists the material and finishes that are available for each style. There are other metallic color options besides silver....See MoreHow to end edges of backsplash . . . without bullnose tile . . .
Comments (23)I have a white/gray stone tile and it's thicker than a typical subway tile. Tonight at Home Depot I put a Schluter brushed metal tile edge against it and was surprisingly pleased with the result. Even though it's a vintage (1920's) style kitchen, it works with some of the modern elements like the stainless steel fridge and lighting fixture....See MoreHD Subway tile trim - not liking options
Comments (17)Kind of late in getting back to everyone... Jerzeygirl - thanks for the photo of your shower. Did you use white grout? I think the metal look tile would be too modern for my project. I love your marble sill. Was that a remnant? I'm looking to use something like that in my shower cubby. The Quartzite I picked out for my counter/curb is 1 1/4" which seems too thick for this purpose. Sloyder - I like your idea of a glass tile liner. Will also check out a matching marble liner option. I'm going to try and attach a picture of my accent tile. Linelle - Thanks for the pic! You are right on. The RS is very reasonable! Their rope tile is pretty but sticks out kind of far for my narrow bathroom. Your tile guy did a great job. Do you know what color/brand of grout was used? As for the quarter round, I had that one picked out and my contractor said it would look unfinished because it would be at eye level looking down at the side of it. My field tile would not stick out as far as yours. Cabot & Rowe - I will definitely check Daltile's website for other options. Joseph - your bathroom is amazing! Are those Graff faucets? I'm considering Graff Topaz wall mount for my bathroom. Also, how deep is your vanity? I'm struggling to figure out what size spout on the wall mount faucet is needed for my 11" deep Under-mount sink on an 18" deep vanity. Why is this so complicated?? This is my accent tile - Snow Stria with Glass from the Tile Shop. Border of 4 or 5 rows....See MoreFinishing white subway tile - trim vs schluter
Comments (19)why not just do the bullnose? And perhaps go w/a 4x12 instead of a 3x6. here's my shower. I used a 4x12 with bullnose on both the vertical, for outside edges, and horizontal, for the top row the bullnose option is one of the cleanest looks you'll get the schluter I did for the accent and the niche (I chose black) close up of that same 4x12 tile but in a diff layout. (this is my neighbors shower) we opted for a stacked pattern layout. slightly more modern looking this one got the Schluter edging on the outside In this one, the tile didn't come w/a bullnose edge. we went w/the pencil liner. again, a larger tile (either a 3x12 or 4x12) and a stacked layout does this give you a better of idea of what look you like?...See MoreSkippack Tile & Stone
