I situated myself at the exit of a car show and took pictures as they were leaving.

Nice old car

Not so old car, Donna Pacer (1979) who lives in our garage

And a vintage pic with my all time favorite ride, even in the rain and fog in the Smokey Mountains in 1977.

A few of the many things were taking to a craft show, end of this month.

Was that an AMC Pacer? that was my mother's favorite car to drive.

Mr. Porcupine came to visit yesterday.

And then we discovered he loves to chew on aluminum.

Right after a rain, if you sprinkle cayenne pepper on the chewed part, they will annoy enough to shut it down.

1992 Caprice Classic--my current ride.

Marie_cate, yes an AMC Pacer. My DH is a car nut, but the much maligned Pacer is his dream car. Just stock, never messed with. This one, a 1979 model, is all original. He is the second owner. Bought her (Donna) from her original owner in Chicago in 1999.

Thanks summer for getting it going....I had an early morning with funeral to go to. Any time anyone should feel free to start the thread...it's not my thread, but ours, so if I'm not around, have at it.

To keep with the old car theme, I'll post our '48 CJ2A Willys...Dad bought it new...told Mom he was bringing her home a little red convertible....not quite what she had in mind! This taken at a local cruise night...lots of old cars and 50s music.

Annie, love the local car cruise nights. Several local restaurants around us do them on a weekly basis throughout the summer. Hardly a night when there isn't one to get into the fun and comradeship of car lovers.

lol @ "little red convertible". Neat car; don't see many of those!

Peeka....playing on the stair railings @ the new house.

gyr, the colors in that butterfly shot are a-maz-ing!

I passed a slew of vintage cars early this morning. They must have been on their way to a car show. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a picture as we were whizzing past each other at about 55 mph. You know what I would like? A camera mounted to my car so I could just push a button to get a photo of something I see. No trying to pull my phone out, put in a code, get to the camera app...

Glad you enjoyed it, Annie. I almost didn't post it because gulf fritillaries are so common here, and two thirds of my garden butterfly shots seem to include the Duranta flowers, because it is such a butterfly magnet.

Jim - thanks for the cayenne pepper tip. This was at our vacation place and we were getting ready to return home so DH placed large rocks on the top step that blocked the section he chewed on. Of course he can always walk around the corner and attack the other door - but maybe he won't try.
