Comments (33)Some more from me. I had skipped over a few. GAUDEAMUS (Not my favorite due to the color, but has produced some good toothy edges and has had a bud count of up to 32 with 6-way branching.) GENTLE SOUL (for playing with patterns) GLOCCA MOORA (struggling since I moved it two years ago) Just for comparison, here's Roy Woodhall's catalog picture (permission was given to use it.) GLORIOUS PINK MORNING (30 buds and 5 branches) GLORY TO HIS NAME (30+ buds and 5 branches, reblooms reliably here) GNASHING OF TEETH (very nice but a bit tender and slow to increase) GOTTA HOBBIT (very interesting but not good substance in our heat) GRACES OF GANYMEDE (I'm very fond of this one. It reblooms here and it's different from any other I've grown. GRAND FLORIDIAN...See MoreM daylilies 2018
Comments (55)Mighty Heart --nice bright color, but we'll see Mister Bubbles --okay this past year; short Macao --vigorous older Munson; looked good in 2017 Man of Sorrows --nice display in 2017; clump strength now Makayla Janelle --nice Boatwright Memphis --so very nice, but slow multiplier Magic Amethyst --slow grower and not always perfect Message of Love --not so bright in reality. Some pictures always flatter reality. Morning Mood --shorter Moon Twilight --older Munson that is nice...See MoreQ and R daylilies 2018
Comments (36)Ruby Storm --nice, though not as excited as David is. Modest bud count so far. Red Skeletons --Makes a statement. Sometimes a little splotchy. Vigorous Round Midnight --striking bluish purple color Royal Girls --striking color. vigorous Roses for Dallas Romanian Rendezvous--needs warmer climate. Doesn't like afternoon heat. Rock Solid --vigorous Rose Masterpiece --reliably good except for some splotches. Vigorous. Redheaded Hussy --sometimes rebloom Ruby Grandeur --well budded...See MoreS daylilies Sj - Sz 2018
Comments (52)Mantis, I did miss your question. Snidely Whiplash was hybridized by Mike Georges of Canada. I don't know much about him. We have heard him speak a couple of times. He has similar tastes to mine--teeth, eye and edges, and watermarks. We didn't buy Snidely Whiplash directly from him but we got it at the auction at the Can Am in 2016. I bet it is isn't available in the U. S., but I haven't looked. Mike maintains a website. His garden is called Quintessential Daylilies. That's really all I know except that buying Snidely Whiplash was a good idea. It's fertile and looks as if it likes it here. Nancy...See Moreavedon_gw
