What size vent hood do I need with a 30 ' GE Cafe Gas cooktop?
Comments (1)I would suggest a 36" hood if it is 19" or deeper. You could also go with a 30" if it is 24" or deeper. Both choices should also have at least 600 cfm, more if you plan on a lot of grilling, stir frying or using all the burners at once. If you can get the lights on the sides or in the middle between the baffles or screens that will help with capture when you use the front burners. Comments (1)The main differences in the cooktops (besides price) are (1) Wolf has a control layout that I prefer--I like the touchpad on the side, (2) texture vs. slick top, and (3) timers on the Miele actually turn off burners, but not on the Wolf. I only know that from excessive shopping, not actual use. And I know less about ovens, but I wouldn't feel compelled to get matching brands unless the separate units were both what you wanted. Half off sounds nice...But it's OK to go half Wolf and half Miele unless they look really bad together....See MoreElectrolux v. GE Cafe induction cooktop

Has anyone used either of these models or the Electrolux woth the "swipe" feature rather than "+" or "-"? Opinions? Thanks!...See MoreGe Cafe or Monogram induction cooktop
Comments (1)While waiting for further responses, you might have a look at the more recent entries in this thread in which several GWers reported on the Cafe version and one about the Monogram. As an editorial aside, I am increasingly finding search engines to be getting weirdly hit and miss. Sometimes they refuse to display results for stuff I know is out there. A little while later, running the same search string, it will appear. Grumpf....See Moreamyfurg94
