A Google search or a visit to the manufacturer's website using model number might have a better insight as to what you need to do. I have a three year old Nokia flip phone. I don't find myself that important that I need any cellphone, but my adult children insisted. They wanted to purchase me a smart phone with all the bells and whistles, but I assured them it was a waste of money. I did find myself on occasion taking pictures of my five year old granddaughter when we were out somewhere. To make things as easy as possible to transfer pictures I purchased and installed a mini SD card. With the card slots in my system and printer desired use is so simple with the included adapter even I can do it. DA...See More8 GB SD cards were fine yesterday, now computer not reading them
Comments (10)Thanks everyone. I too would like to know why someone said not to use the camera's transfer ability; my camera came with a utility program & cable specifically for transferring photos. It has worked fine, knock on wood. As for the cards, I bought the same cards I always buy, but maybe they are making them differently now? not sure. Or maybe my card reader is malfunctioning. not sure. So I'll just keep transferring via EOS Utility for now. (which does not use up the battery that much, BTW--the transfer is fairly fast and the camera shuts itself off after it's done, if I have to let it go awhile/walk away from it)...See MoreImporting Pics From SD Card In Vista
Comments (2)If you want to transfer say the first 30 pictures, click on the first one, then hold the the shift key and click on the 30th one. They'll all be highlighted. You can then right click on any one, or click Organize up in the toolbar, then cut or copy. If you wanted to move say the 5th, 6th, 10th, and 30th pictures, hold down the ctrl key while clicking on each one. Then right click, or click Organize as above....See Morehelp with CF card from Canon Rebel XT
Comments (5)I owe you big time Iowagirl!!! Thank you so much for your help recovering 996 pictures all raw from my card. I ALWAYS take pictures off my card and put them on an external hard drive and burn them too on discs. My laptop is at our summer home as I was there for a few weeks just editing pictures. I knew some were there but didn't know where I stopped downloading them. Right now I have two cards neither will work in the camera and they both say they need to be reformatted...it doesn't work tried several times. It also doesn't matter as I will take the camera in for a cleaning which I do yearly, never had any problems with it in four years and have taken well over 20,000 pics in the past 15 years. New cards are nothing in price compared to some of those recovered pictures. I am going to try and post just a fun one. Again a million thank you very muches?? Oh well you know what I mean even if it isn't a word.!!!!!...See Moreplantbug
