OT Hey! John Best...Look in Here!
Comments (11)Hey guys/gals thanks for the salutations. After my BM, I had dinner prepared by my personal chef (DW). Lasagna, salad from the GH and a glass of red wine, followed with triple chocolate cake and French vanilla ice cream. Right now, I am a little sleepy I will see youns tomorrow. Comments (5)Well, no soap operas because I cancelled satellite TV months ago, so now I have no TV to watch soap operas, and I seem to have run right out of bonbons. Darn it, I just didn't think ahead. (grin) Cooper doesn't sleep in Woodie, although I wish he did. My alarm normally goes off at 6:30 am. Cooper didn't get me up until 6:45, so I guess that was kind of sleeping in. I had coffee made and took Cooper out to play fetch before 8 am. I spent the morning surrounded by stepmother's financial paperwork that her federally subsidized housing center needs for "rent control". Nancy (wizardnm) called about 11 a.m. Elery called right after that and then I spent about an hour on the phone with his insurance company and my doctor's office getting added to his insurance. I went back to stepmother's stuff and got a phone call from the county, they'd "forgotten" to do my exit interview. Could I come in tomorrow at 11 am? Yeah sure, but only because I want a big check for vacation payout. After that I'll go to stepmother's to count out her meds, shovel her snow, take her grocery shopping and get her dog's nails trimmed. Wednesday Ashley wants to go to the craft shops, she's been making and selling little girls' tutus and hair ribbons and beanie hats and such. She needs supplies. so, what am I cooking? Just coffee, so far, but I did get a call asking me to bake 100 dinner rolls for a funeral dinner on Saturday and Elery wants me to come down there and I want to get this cabinet in my dining room cleaned out so I can get rid of the huge, dark, ugly monstrosity and paint. So, I think I'll have leftover paella for supper and I haven't cooked a darned thing today, except coffee. Annie...See MoreHey! Look up - we are famous:)
Comments (7)Well, hot darn! First my salsa and now my peanut butter and miracle whip. So, that means my cooking got one big "yea" and one huge "nay". Hey, that's 50/50, LOL, I'm doing OK. I think I'll have some peanut butter and Miracle Whip for supper, in celebration. (grin) Annie...See MoreInspired by The Vivienne Files ... and thank you AnnieD!
Comments (56)The vivienne files has a lovely aqua and black capsule wardrobe, Maire cate! I am decidedly not a size zero, so you may well be Impressed at the number of garments in the bag :-) I am not a roller, I tried that method once or twice and it was a hot mess to get things out--- any time you want an item you have to completely unpack and repack. If I am staying in a hotel longer than one night I unpack almost completely, hanging everything and putting other things in drawers. But I usually use the packing cube thingies from Eagle Creek and ebags. I will use a medium or large zippered packing bag for all my slacks, another for all the tops, a small cylindrical one for undies and socks, another for scarves, etc. that way when I want a shirt I can just take that cube out and not disturb everything else. I put these cubes in drawers as is unless something would benefit for being hung up. Alternatively, if we are going on a trip requiring a lot of dressing up, I will pack complete outfits individually in those space bag thingies. That way I have not only the clothes, but the stockings, shoes, jewelry, any special underwear, etc. in one package. Those are the bags you ziplock and then roll it up to,squeeze all the air out, then unroll it to lie very flat. It's amazing how unwrinkled clothes are when packed in those space bags!...See More- 8 years ago
