Okay, I found out my original cushions were the standard. This is also what I sat on in the store (Robb % Stucky's, although I ordered through Alan Ferguson). The cushions were terrible. I understand fluffing and turning but we had to do it EVERYTIME anyone sat down. But the biggest problem is hard to explain. The back cushions seem to be shapeless at the bottom. When you sit down, they tend to roll forwards into you. Instead of sitting down and back into the sofa, you're kind of pushing back forcefully with your shoulders to keep it from rolling into you. Almost like it is top heavy. Does that make any sense? When I take the cushions out of the case, they look fine. I can't quite figure out what is wrong with them. Ok, I contacted Alan Ferguson who contacted Lee. They sent me (free) a replacement set of the extra firm cushions which was very nice of them. However, same problem. Way squishy, rolling forward. Can't sink into them. I contacted them again and got a nasty email back. They were very short with me and insisted that if I "MAINTAINED" my cushions I would have no problem. They also described maintaining as turning and fluffing. I do that everytime I sit down. Should that really be necessary? My sofa looks like a slide. The seat cushions slope towards the floor, probably because you can't sit all the way back due to always fighting the rolling back cushions! Sorry this is so long but I really am at my wits end. I am not a rude or unreasonable person. I would be happy to pay to fix this problem if I only knew what to do. I know I am too sensitive but was hurt by the snotty email. Like I was being a pain in the *** when I have tried my best to be polite. Any advice please?

I would recommend staying away from CR Laine. I purchased a CR Laine sofa through Hickory Park Furniture in Hickory, NC, and it has been a losing and miserable situation since. The sofa itself looks nothing like the photo CR Laine has to represent it. CR Laine even admitted this to me and told me there are supposed to be additional links with photos of the sofa but that there are not for this sofa, but they tell me I have no recourse through them and must go through the seller, Hickory Park. I did so. At the time of the sale, Hickory Park told me to make sure I knew what I wanted, which was of course dependent on them since they are supposed to be the experts and advisors, because I would have no recourse once the sofa was in production. This was a lie. When the sofa arrived, I was horrified. In addition to be profoundly ugly and not looking at all like the photo, the cushion Hickory Park advised me to get based on what I told them I wanted was completely wrong, which CR Laine also told me was the case. CR Laine: "The Hamilton cushion was absolutely the wrong cushion if you told them you wanted a firm and resilient cushion." But lo and behold, the cushions Hickory Park advised me to buy was - surprise, surprise - the most expensive cushion. When I learned I did have recourse, from CR Laine, by filing a complaint with Hickory Park, I did so. I explained the delay was because they had told me I had no recourse at the time of the sale but had just learned that was not true. I also explained that the sofa was used by one person for only five months and is in brand new condition. Hickory Park's manager literally laughed at me, said due to the time lapse, they couldn't do anything for me. But they caused the time lapse by having told me at the sale I would have no recourse if I had any problems! His argument was like someone killing his parents then pleading for mercy on the basis of having been orphaned. All of the problems with the sofa lie with both the seller and the manufacturer: Hickory Park Furnituer and CR Laine. But it is me, the customer, who will take the loss for THEIR lies and misrepresentations and wrong advice. Hickory Park offered to replace the cushion. Useless, since I told them I had ordered a new sofa from Hickory Chair before I knew I could file a complaint about the CR Laine. Notice he simply ignored that info., along with a lot of other info. he simply didn't like. The CR Laine sofa is lightweight, which likely means it is not make with hardwood. It is a hideous design which does not show up in the photo, and CR Laine even acknowledged it's a strange style. The Better Business Bureau down there was useless, as all BBBs are. Likely they are paid dues by both Hickory Park and CR Laine (indeed, the manager from Hickory Park referred to the BBB "mediator" by her first name. There is no mediation here. Buyer beware. Stick with Lee or Hickory Park, and as customers, we have to do all of our own research because salespeople are no longer knowledgeable and are under pressure to just make the sale and will give you wrong information if that is what it takes. Totally, 100% miserable experience with Hickory Park Furniture and CR Laine.

We purchased a Clayton Marcus sectional last year after alot of research about brands, workmanship, quality and price point. We absolutely love it. We ordered it through Lauter's Fine Furniture in PA because they gave us the best price. We had the style and fabric picked out but decided to go with Lauter's because they beat any of our "local" furniture stores prices by a mile and offered service after the sale. Because we were within their 100 mile delivery radius (we're in Dutchess County NY) the delivery was free. Clayton Marcus is still constructed in the USA using 8-way hand-tied spring base construction. We had a certain price that we could afford and I had a specific style and measurement in mind, which is why we chose Clayton Marcus. Our sectional is pictured in the link below. We bought the C&B Gather sofa plus ottomon in leather last year.. It is the standard depth sofa and we were not able to sit in that poarticular sofa prior to ordining it. We ran into the typical delays due to supply chain issues (7 months). When it was delivered, the delivery guys dropped the sofa in the street and damaged the leather. C&B ordered a replacement (another three months). Both of us hate this sofa! It is very uncomforatable. I am 5'11" and it is too deep to comfortably site upright. The back cushions are not fastened to the sofa in any way so they are constantly slidding down. Even when pushed back, the do not provide good back support. I cannot sit in this sofa more than an hour or so before I get a backache. I wanted a sofa/ottomon combination rather than buying a sectional for the verstility so it really limited my selection of sofas. This was a big mistake. On tiop of that, dealing with C&B sales, customer support and their finance company was a real nightmare that I will never go through again.
