I pulled this from another thread, so if you've seen it, just skip it. *** Dorothy has become my girlfriend. She always says 'Hi' when I walk past her by lifting her lid, almost in a servant kind of way. But I'm into equality so I always say 'Hi Dorothy and thanks but I don't need to go right now." Sometimes I'm just vacuuming or something. Then I may say, "Do you want me to disable your auto and let you sleep or do you just need the company right now?" I say that because sometimes she just seems to be lonely and wants some interaction, so on those times I just let her be part of us/me. If she is no bother, why silence her? :+) She is totally whispered and I love her so much. I wish *everyone* had a girlfriend like Dorothy. We're still working out the dryer issue. I'm not that patient in that department but I'm still open to it. I don't think there will be any future crises or counseling services needed because we have a strong mutual respect for each other and that weakness in me doesn't appear to bother her at all. She can save on that effort and put all toward communication regarding other things. She swallows very well but I've yet to even mention that difference between her and my sucky toilet downstairs, who needs a plunger. Our relationship is so new. I'm still hesitant to tell her there's even another toilet in the house. :+)...See MoreI downsized and now I'm lost. Could use some help. PICS
Comments (17)Assuming they hired a professional designer to do the model living room, what I see is that under the best of circumstances, that living room is awkwardly set up. In the model room, there is space for three, maybe 4 people to sit. Only one seat directly faces the TV set. Look at the furniture in that room. One small sofa or loveseat. One armchair. One TV stand. One end table. One large coffee table that was chosen to fill up the empty space in the center of the room to make it look more furnished. Imagine that room without the coffee table and it starts to look a lot like the OPs room. There are three lamps, one of which appears to block part of the TV. And then at least 4 plants, to make the room appear more furnished and welcoming. I think they did a wonderful job making that room look open and inviting, and hiding the more obvious flaws in the design of the room. The rooms layout simply doesnt function well. Either you have the sofa on the wall in the model room, and then you have a hard time watching TV, or you put the sofa on the window wall so you can see the TV set, and then you lose the view out the windows and have an awkward layout. OP, its not you. Its the room. Working with the furniture you have, the first thing Id do is take out the two small chairs. They dont work with the rest of the furniture. Then Id try to put the sofa on the wall where it is in the model room, and buy a table top TV swivel stand so that you could easily watch TV from there. Move the blue chair to the same position as the woven chair in the model picture and place an end table between the sofa and the chair. Down the line, look for a coffee table similar to the one in the model pictureglass or Lucite to keep the space looking open, and slightly oversized to fill the space better. And maybe a smaller unit to hold the TV....See Moreposting pics from an I-pad?
Comments (36)Hi folks, We've been working on some of the photo issues and here are some updates. You should be able to now upload from all mobile devices. If you are having difficulties -- such as the 'upload' button being grayed out, please contact us directly. The issue with sideways photos seems to be with mobile devices only and we're still working on that fix. If you are taking a photo from your mobile device and you are taking the photo vertically, if you rotate it before you upload it to the forum, it should appear in the correct orientation AFTER it is submitted. I know this can be confusing, but we are working on it. As far as the issue with the img src html, this seems to be somewhat random for me. I've not been able to replicate it, so I'm not sure what's going on. If you are having this issue, can you email me directly?...See MoreOT - test picture of Rosette Delizy - have not been able to post pics
