Advice needed on frustration with Cimicifuga please

Hi all - I'm in SE Michigan, zone 5/6

I have about 7 Cimicifugas - all about 6 or 7 years old. Bright shade or dappled sun under high oak trees with very good soil. I've always been aware for their need for moist soil as I rarely have crispy foliage. A couple of them are fairly good bloomers but the rest are just duds in my opinion. Each year I keep thinking they are going to bloom and I end up getting one or two blooms on a plant or none at all. None of them look like they are thriving in my opinion. I'm ready to shovel prune and replace them with something different at this point - or possibly relocate them to a spot where they will get more morning sun. But I know they have an attitude about being moved. Well, I have an attitude also and I'm getting tired of them!! It's been 6 or 7 years with not much to show for. What would you all do? Transplant and wait a few more years or just toss 'em and replace with something else? Open to all suggestions!
