3 of the wild horses who live in our mountain valley. These three were grazing right at the turnoff to our grade school as I drove by. The rest of their herd (usually 9-11 total) must have been close by, as they pretty much move together.

I took this photo this afternoon in my front yard. I had forgotten about this Hybiscus. In the winter, the flowers look more orange, but in the spring and summer, they are bright yellow.

Several years ago VgQn found about 35 old windows for free on craigslist. With a little TLC and some extra hardware I installed them around our screened-in porch where each window can either be closed up to shield against rain and snow, or opened to allow in air/breeze. Below pic shows only the side windows open.
