Yes, red is fine. But in my opinion the more concealed red is better than the splashy one, especially in a room this size. Make the red preferably in small accents as in: a pillow in a neutral colour with some red in it. Or like a green plant that blooms with red flowers. Variations of the same tones of red in more or less density is more lively than all the exact same tone. Besides that: such a red combines lovely with yellow. So if you do feel tempted to use yellow again, it would bring unity to the house. Both teal and turquoise are good possibilities too, but in such a small room I would rather go for the teal. Since teal is a less invasive colour, you can allow yourself more of it. Perhaps with a tiny streak of turquoise here and there in a picture or candle or whatever. Once again: teal goes well with yellow. The turquoise not so much though in my opinion. Do not become too bold. Curtains are very big. Neutral ones would fit in here better as to not dominate the room. You really think you need curtains though? Might make the room feel crowded.

You have options! An accent wall can be a great way to accentuate interesting architectural features. Pulling the dark smoky blue from your dining room onto the living room wall furthest from the dining room would help blend the spaces while balancing the visual weight of the saturated color. Painting the wall adjacent to the dining room in that color might create a density on that side of your blended spaces. The alternative would be to pull that blue in in accessories. I didn’t like OITNB either. Ozark took me until halfway through the second season to appreciate- but now I like it quite a bit. I hadn’t had the opportunity to appreciate Jason Bateman before (hadn’t seen many movies)- but I see why he’s a good antihero. Measured room. I need 8x 10 IF I count that little side chair that everybody keeps telling me to turn into a bench. I mean I suppose even if it was a bench it‘s need to have 2 feet on the rug right? I like the pattern of the first rug! I think it might be a little bit orange for me but I think that’s the general idea of what I need
