This is also the range I'm planning on purchasing for our 1873 Victorian home. I haven't seen much about it either as it's very new to the market. They have had the Cornufe 110 for a bit longer. These are the only ready to purchase options that La Cornue manufacturers. All their other ranges are custom built and start in the $30K-$40K range. I visited a distributor in our area last week and the salesperson was very favorable towards the range. In fact, it's the one she's got on her list for her dream kitchen. The oven is supposed to cook very well. There are some concessions we'd need to make in terms of the cooktop. There are 5 burners versus the 6 you'd find on some of the other professional ranges. Wolf ranges have 15,000 BTU burners, This one has one 17,500, three 12,000 and one 6,000 for simmering. I love to cook but am not a professional chef so for me this is more than adequate. The delivery charge is so high because La Cornue ships it directly to your home from France. They won't let the distributor ship it, however they install it. I'm not sure where you are planning on purchasing this range but the distributor I met with had a delivery fee much less than William Sonoma. In addition, they were willing to work with me on pricing for some of the other appliances to help off set the cost. Not sure if you need any other appliances but you may be able to work with them. I don't sell LaCornue or Lancanche nor do I sell any appliance. I just offer my unbiased advice to suggest that you shop and decide if you want looks with decent performance at an incredible premium or much more functional power and good looks in another range...more bang for your buck. I shopped and compared them all and admit that the Lancanche and LaCornue are unmatched as to beauty but there are many other great looking ranges out there with much more power and more functional cook surfaces. Biased views from sales people who stand to profit from their advice here is exactly why merchants are prohibited (or used to be) from soliciting business from this advice forum. Not that it is not a great unit but it is, at least in appearance if not in fact, a biased view.

The La Cornue is a small obsession of mine and I cannot wait to post some day the same great news that I have one! I apologize I have nothing to provide you regarding your baking sheet question. However since you are now a new proud owner; I must ask for more info on your new baby. What color did you go with? What is your trim? Got pictures? What are you going to cook next? Huruta - Thanks for responding. I'm getting a French Blue Chagny. Lacanche colors are wonderful and look even better than on the web or the brochure. If anyone is considering a Lachance, try and get to the showroom to check them out. I have a question about your vent a hood. The Lacanche website says that the vent should be a 24-27" deep and vent a hood only comes 19 or 22" deep. To be honest, I'm having an very hard time finding one that is even 24" deep let alone 27" deep. Is the minimal depth been a problem or issue for you? This has been the only hold up on finalizing the kitchen and I'm wondering if I'm being overly worried about something that really isn't an issue. Our vent will be installed at the same height as yours since I, too, have a tall husband. I'm also trying to figure out if it can be wired so that I can regulate the vent from a switch on the wall so that I'm not reaching over a hot oven to turn up/down the vent while cooking. I have some height issues and it is definitely as stretch for me to reach that high. Our designer hasn't been of any help in this area and says it "should" be fine. This is going to be my forever kitchen and my husband has already made it very clear that there are no re-dos so I need to get it right the first time.
