Consider the overall look you want including rug, cushions and accessories, as coordination is important. Suggest looking at inspiration pictures for help. I don’t mind the cream, but suggest painting over the antique finish/rethink accessories.

Before you think of a coffee table I suggest you consider moving your furniture around in a similar layout as shown in the sketch below. That would be a start. However, for the room to look nice, I suggest you sell your existing 4 chairs and replace them with 4 chairs of the same colour and style to give the room a cohesive look. I show it below with navy as it's a nice colour to coordinate with the beige leather sofa. I suggest you change the lamp shades to white ones for a brighter look in the rooom. Add some accent pillow, throws, accessories and curtains on each side of the window (will give a more finished look). A square area rug would most likely suit the room the best (no dimensions given) large enough for the front of all seating to sit on the carpet. A round transitional style coffee table would complete the decor.

Thx everyone. i think i hated the cor from the moment i saw it and maybe that is what is throwing me off. we just moved in so no accessiries yet and i mixed too many styles in the space and while i would love to get rid of the table AND the serena and lily bar stools my husband loves them and wont budge on the stools. i thought maybe that dead space on caroet could use a couple of poufs or and ottoman? i love the rattan square table but dodnt want to overdo the rattan. will send more pics.
