Okey dokey...help with green exterior paint
Comments (15)Oh my yes, go to a paint or home improvement store and look at their displays of coordinating paints. They'll have the trim matches already thought out and suggested. I don't think you could go too wrong with any one of a number of greens on this. The only green I ever found offensive on a house was one I BOUGHT, lol. It was bright apple green and despite all the really important interior work it needed, painting over that was one of the first things I did. And I painted the whole danged house myself just to get it done. Your little house is perfect for making a statement with paint. It has very understated basic lines. Nothing wrong with that, but paint and detailing could make a world of difference in making it more interesting and for very little cost....See MoreNeed help choosing shade of green for exterior
Comments (2)I don't know if this color meets all your criteria--I don't have your eye to see all the undertones of a paint. All I know is that I was driving through a small town in Alabama recently and there was a large old house, the kind with a wraparound porch and hanging ferns, painted the most beautiful shade of green. I was moved to stop and ask them the paint color(and I don't even like green that much). The house had been converted into a store that sold healing herbal potions and things and I thought the color was a perfect visual representation of their business, set off by crisp white trim. Anyway, the color is called Garden of Paradise by Valspar. They told me the previous day a wedding party had stopped and asked to take pictures in front of the house, because it was just that picturesque. I can only imagine those were some gorgeous wedding photos. I could only find one picture of the color online, that someone had used in their bedroom, and it was here at Garden Web. The color is kind of shadowed due to the interior shots but it might be worth it for you to grab a sample and try it. Here is a link that might be useful: garden of paradise...See MoreIt ain't easy going green...paint advice needed

Comments (9)I assume that is the front door . What is your budget ? IMO the upper balcony needs to go and a proper portico built to enhance the front entry if you like the idea of the deck off the upper floor then make it large enough to spane the whole width of the house . Black windows would be nice and white siding color so a bit more modern farmhouse could work. Landscaping will be your best thing to add curb appeal. Or go in the opposite direction and do darker siding...See More- 5 years agolast modified: 5 years ago
