Hydrangea 'Quick Fire'. Not a standout from a distance, but it gives me great pleasure going round and round it on my scooter. From it's first buds of green to it's snow white flowers then changing to pink. Then there are all the creatures that love it as much as I do.

Lmgd I love that hydrangea! This one is Pink Frost. It’s a late bloomer and also starts to turn a similar color later.

Lgmd, I have a Quick Fire, but it's young . . . and looking at your beauty, I think I planted mine in the wrong place. I thought it was going to be significantly smaller than my Limelights and Pillow Talk, but yours looks big. Oh, wait--I have Little Quick Fire. Maybe that explains it. Anyway, yours is lovely! Iris, in my experience all the paniculatas are deer candy. I have to spray with Liquid Fence or something similar. But they're worth growing.

Iris, Alisande...Quick Fire is a major bug, insect attractor. I can hear the humming of wings when I get near it. There is constant movement of many kinds of bees all around it. Butterflies and Leatherwing beetles are always checking the flowers out. One insect I don't see very often on it is the Japanese Beetle! A very good thing. Oh, forgot to mention Quick Fire does have a very pleasant fragrance too.

Yes, full sun here in PA. Daughter, nearby has hers in full sun also. I would think that in S.C. especially, somewhat less than full would be fine.
