Can you help me find this or similar tile?

We are hoping to use this in our fireplace surround. It is sold by Southern Cross Ceramics and only available in Australia and NZ. We love the inkwell blue color and the look of pressed tin. Anyone know if the US has a distributor or of a similar tile that looks like pressed tin?

Pratt and Larson will have similar styles, they are handmade so not a budget choice, but they make beautiful tiles. They also have many styles of trim done in the same finishes as the tiles.

Thanks you Chispa! These are gorgeous and I hadn't seen these. You just saved me from trying to smuggle tiles back in my suitcase from New Zealand. Can you share your fireplace surround? Sounds amazing and maybe close to what we may be thinking.

I just received a PB bedskirt last week that was supposedly back-ordered until May. It said April when I placed the order and then bumped to May after I ordered. So things do come sooner sometimes. In the grand scheme of things, I'd wait for what you really want. Use a clip-on utility light in the meantime. I have been here 16 months with no bedskirt. It is hideous. And the one that just arrived is not the right color so back it goes and now I am looking at more time with the dust bunnies on display.

That's a very cool look. I love the imperfection of it and the contrast of the black and cream. IIRC, you live in Chapel Hill, right? FWIW, we got our tile from Byrd Tile Distributors in Homestead Market in Durham across I40 from SouthPoint. There may be a store in Carrboro also. They could probably help you identify someone who makes that kind of tile. I'm sure they'd be happy to order some for you as well for a little ; ) more than HD would have charged.

Solistone tile does some nice ceramic colors (and also pretty period patterns) that are quite remniscent of 1930's Fiestaware, especially since they're hand-glazed and slightly irregular, like the rims of the dinnerware: Here is a link that might be useful: Solistone Mission Tile line
