mammapinky Yes, they are. I did that on purpose. I wanted a different illusion than just the mirrors hanging, if that makes sense. I want the mirrors and curtains anchoring the bed, like a headboard. Thank you! To everyone mentioning the mirror height, don't tell my husband! (lol) He absolutely hates hanging curtains, shelves, mirrors and paintings. haha I'll have to wait to the weekend or a day we both have the time and we shall raise them. I'll have to ease him into it. ;) Should they go the same height as the curtains? I think because of the shallowness of the closets, you will need to put the hanging rods across the ends and use the center of the back wall for hooks. Measure the length of your shirts/jackets, put one rod as high as you can, leaving room to manipulate the hangers on and off the rod, then put another rod about 2 inches below where the bottom of your shirts/jackets will reach. I'm guessing that the bottom rod will be about 42" below the top rod. Use one end of the closet for the double rod and one end for a single rod if you have lots of long hanging items like dresses. If you have hanging rods at each end, your garments will take up about 24" on each end, leaving only about 4 inches in the center for hooks. I think the rods will have to hang from the ceiling because they need to be installed 12" from the wall which is into the doorway so you can't put the rod from wall to wall. Those are pretty poorly designed closets, unfortunately.

Artwork should be about 2/3 width of bed; queen bed is 60 inches so go for something around 40 inches wide? Can be one or two pictures, but one big pic is generally easier to hang etc. Target, Ross, World Market, TJ Maxx all have nice big art that might work....just look for cream not ultra white in the art; and if it makes your hear sing, go for it......any type would probably work in the room....the corners will get taken are of. Get the bed and nightstands in place and curtains hung, (check out Houzz.com or youtube to see how and where to hang curtains before you go shopping so you have an idea of what is what) This room has oil rubbed bronze curtains with long curtains, check for your room, large print over the bed, check, lamps are taller than headboard, which is a look you want, check and you could do lamps in your chosen accent color, cream, silver, brass. first and see if you like it; one decision generally means you might have two options or none for the next decision....the curtains will frame the room and soften the window angles and if the curtain color is similar to headboard it will give the room a more cohesive look; you want items to look like they go together....even when not a perfect match; avoid perfect match, rather blend is better I think. Here is another room.....large dark curtain rod, curtains hung behind bed and nightstand as an example. Quirky corner decor and corner windows with interesting curtain placement......lamps same height as headboard counting finials! Nicely made bed that relates to wall color; an idea you might consider if you cannot find curtains to match head board....a lot of cool ideas in room you might want to consider.....love the tiny chair in front of the plant stand..... PS I went to more info for this picture and it seemed that the client had the sheets already and matched/blended the paint color to the sheets.....so another custom look for little investment.....fun room with quirky corner! Thank you all for your ideas and support. Especially you, Julie. I cannot thank you enough for your ideas and PATIENCE with me. The back and forth has been going on for weeks and u have always been genuinely eager to help me. I thought about the chests and everyone’s right, it’s the best option for my small room. I’m big on symmetry too, so that’s the best option with that as well. Everything will be centered which makes me happy. With that being said, i want to check out Home Goods, Ashley, and a few other furniture stores so I can see the chests in person. However, nothing is open on Long island where i live, and we aren’t even in phase one yet 😢. I’ve been quarantined for weeks with two little kids, driving myself insane with my room. I have also been driving Julie insane too I’m sure which I feel bad about. So i am going to give my room a break for now until I can see some three drawer chests in person. Julie, we spoke about this before and i scrolled up to see the old comments. I will need two chests 32 inches or less...so now I will know what to look for. I want my furniture to be light or a gray wash. Once I find one, of course I will consult with Julie and the rest of my houzz buds. Thank you so much for everything this far!!!!😉
