Photoshop help for artwork??
Comments (14)Oh goodie! I'm glad you saw them. I was afraid maybe you'd figured you'd gotten your answers and left. I hope you have a lot of fun hunting down the perfect piece. Michaels Crafts has some stuff at good prices, but I'm not sure if they have anything two doors wide. You might also find some cool stuff at Tuesday Mornings or your favorite accessories store. Of course you can paint or stencil anything and stencling looks super good on faux painted walls like yours. I hope you get a chance to check out the plaster stencils on eBay or you can google for the site. Speaking of thinking out of the box, I dunno if you have a musical family or not but old musical instruments can be really cool hung on a wall. Quilts can be great too, or tapestries, and sconces or wall pockets filled with real flowers can be fun. Even a wee shelf with a living plant on it can be very pretty. I'm just not so sure I like the idea of pictures on that wall at all. Have you looked at the picture threads in our Gallery for ideas? The Living Room thread and the STaircase threads come to mind as maybe having some ideas for you. Of course, you could hire an artist to mural that whole wall, or do it yourself. You might want to google "murals" and snoop around. That's a really cool space and your chance to make that important first impression on your guests. It's a good place to spend a little money if you have any, or to get super creative if you don't and it's THE place to think out of the box. I hope you'll keep us posted!...See MoreNeed help with artwork gift and paint scheme!
Comments (28)Hi all! I'm not sure if people are clicking on the photo to see the full version - there is quite a lot more wall which you don't see in the thumbnail, before it gets to the ceiling :) I won't frame the picture - it's a wrapped canvas print, so continues around the edges, and I like the look of it that way. I do like the idea of a rug under the table, to bring out some of the same colours as are in the photo! :) im getting more used to the painting being there now, and don't think it clashes like I first did, but I am quite liking the idea of a fresh paint scheme downstairs eventually now that I've been thinking about the yellow in the other room :)...See MoreNeed help in adding artwork to accompany large clock
Comments (15)I see your pics just posted. Do you have plans for any other furniture in this room? Do you have any large art piece you don’t have a home for yet? The wall the clock is on looks like your 14’ wall - a very large piece centered on the doors across from that wall would add some interest.. Try the clock either above TV but center the TV & cabinet in space between open door & corner. Or, try it on the opposite wall above the side of chair closest to door. It just needs a smaller wall....See MoreHelp With Artwork Placement
Comments (9)Looks great good but where is this in your home? If in public area, I wouldn’t put family photos there. But that’s just me. Family things are private to me. A hallway would be lovely....See MoreUser
