Bill, I've been seeing 'Ads by Google' recently embedded here in the New England Gardening thread; in fact, there's one right above your post on Sun, March, 18. Annoying for sure but not that intrusive yet. I treat them in the same way way I treat the marketing phone calls I get at dinner and just ignore them. I sometimes wonder about the mindset of the people who create these ads. I think it's a 'spitting into the wind' kind of mentality. They think they'll get one bite out of the thousands who see the ad. Like those funny ads that claim 'a woman in (your town goes here) has found the secret to eliminating wrinkles.' Molie

Sorry about not following up on this. Rechecked disk management and found that one of the removable disks was marked as "C" drive. I simply changed that disk to "O" drive and the problem seems to be solved. The only thing I've had problems with since then is an old program that insists on installing to "C" drive. I've had to forget about a couple of older games I used to play, but no big deal.

No fears - I'm not paying anyone anymore. I'll definitely try the AdBlock though. Actually, I should have been more specific in my complaints. It isn't really the ads, it's the links on the bottom of the page right below the reply box. If you scroll down, right below the 'Preview Message' button, there are some links to Ads by Google, to GardenWeb, or to other sites. It's not really that these links move, but more that the space at the top shrinks, thereby shortening the page and moving those links into the space formerly occupied by the Preview button. Probably trash on my computer, sine it's slowed down a fair amount recently... I'll have to run my spyware software to see what's up.

I am always early and on occasion on time. I am never late. It makes me so anxious to think of being late. I wonder why some people are this way? I have a strong sense of urgency in certain matters, especially with work. When I have a meeting with my manager (via video conference) and they do not show up until the last five minutes of our scheduled 20 minute meeting, I am so frustrated at that point I just want to leave and not wait bc my time is just as valuable as theirs and I find it so selfish when it is an ongoing issue. Same goes with some friends who are late all of the time. Maybe those that are late are just more laid back and less anxious? For the most part, those who are very late do not seem all that apologetic. It is as if they do not think of the inconvenience they have caused the ones who are on time. I wish I could just relax and let it not bother me, but I can't seem to do that. It is the worst when you go to great efforts to make sure you are ready on time, only to find the other(s) did not bother to do the same. I completely understand how you feel dedtired. I am glad when they did arrive they were so helpful and everything worked out. I might have to do some research on this topic. It can baffling. Amy
