Suggestions for wall decor above couch
Comments (12)Download an old map or print from a place that has meaning to you . (I used place where DH and I met.) Then print it out as an engineer print at Staples for a few dollars. Mount on particle board. You can also cut in pieces and decoupage a la RH. Hang. Comments (4)THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR COMMENTS! :) :) I have the sofa shifted off-center from the window so that the coffee table (which is "somewhat" centered to that sofa) would also be accessible to the sofa on the other wall. Maybe a larger coffee table is necessary here? Are you suggesting moving the bells to the other side of the window to balance out the weight in the room since the other side of the room where the bells are has the TV, stereo, speakers, etc.? I am going to give that a try too! I did take down the two photos above the other sofa and it looks better without them there. But if I do get something, just one piece as suggested. Maybe nothing at all though? Thanks so much everyone!!!!...See MoreNeed suggestions for TV wall decor ideas!
Comments (2)Shelving on either side of the t v would look nice and fill the wall. Move some of the wall art onto the shelves. Also, center the sofa to that wall and move the chair to the left of sofa....See Moreformal living room - decor help?
Comments (7)You have a great start but you need to ground the space, not force the eye up. A properly sized rug would definitely help, adding patterned or heavily textured sofa pillows would help as well. The mirror seems a little high and as you said, not very interesting. A large piece of art would look better in that space. Can you share a photo of the other side of the room? Do you have another spot for the desk?...See Moreoaktonmom
