Got this message yesterday when attempting to send an email: In the past 24 hours, messages identified as spam have been sent from this email account, and were not delivered to the recipients. Since midnight Eastern Time, a total of 100 messages were blocked, and those messages were addressed to a total of 100 recipients.
My ability to send an email was frozen until the next day. I changed my password. While at it I changed passwords at any financial account and initiated two factor authentication, if available. First time I’m aware of this happening with my email and I’ve had this same account since 1994. Not exactly sure how my password was hacked.
