just confused about my marriage situation
Comments (10)Hi Zaira- I understand your frustration and hurt.. your spouse seems to be different but not disclosing to you what is "going on" with him. I don't think anyone here is going to be able to tell you what is happening, of course, but there are some things you can think of... What does your gut tell you? Is there something going on with your husband that is related to job stress, other-members-of-your-family stress, home stress, etc? Did the two of you live together before marriage or could he finally be reacting to the tremendous life change that comes with living with a person (beloved wife though you may be) for the first time? Does he suffer from depression? Is it realistic to think he is cheating? I certainly don't want to put any upsetting thoughts in your head but your post is fairly vague... Absoloutely nothing could be going on with him: perhaps he doesn't even realize his actions have changed. Have you talked with him at all about your concerns? Don't jump to conclusions without at least attempting to talk calmly and honestly with him. But address it soon because the longer you wait the greater the divide between you will grow. Trust me. My husband and I made that very mistake and we are paying for it now. Best of luck to you....See Moreshould I tell my best friends husband about her cheating on him

Comments (5)it looks like the tub was set wrong because the tile should be over that flange around the tub deck. There should be water resistant or waterproof backer board behind the tile but this looks like acrylic tub surround was put over sheetrock. So I would not worry about the color clash but the waterproofing which could lead to mold problems. It is hard to tell if you could just put thin backer board or that Kerdi waterproofing right over the faux marble acrylic then tile over it and the flange. If that is real tile or stone, maybe you could run a decorative border tile to cover the flange. A better but more expensive solution would be ripping out the tub surround, putting in the waterproof backing then re tiling properly with silcone caulk at the tub edge. That will flex when the tub does. when filled with water. (fill tub and then caulk for best seal.) I would tile to the ceiling. After the water proofing issues, deal with the aesthetics. if you keep the faux marble, I would find a warmer wall color to match the veining which looks beige or taupe on my screen. I might add border tile to trim the surround. Wall decor depends on your taste. mural ?...See MoreWhat To Do About Finding A Contractor For This Situation?
Comments (3)I would add painters to the list of people you contact. We had a fantastic house-painter with his own company, who replaced fascia boards and did minor repairs as he went. He also painted a long fence and replaced a few rotten posts for a very reasonable fee. Many people might not think a painter would be doing those things. I would present myself as the nicest customer possible. Tell them you need help. Tell them you're a great customer (and then be one). Tell them you don't care if the job is put off for a few months (or even more). Tell them they can fit you into their schedule as a small job, and you will be buying breakfast for the workers each day they're there. Make yourself seem like someone they want to help out. Have you checked out Nextdoor in your area? I would search on there, and I would be networking with neighbors and friends like crazy. Contractors are so busy and so in demand right now, that they don't have to advertise, etc....See MoreUser
