old garage door opener
Comments (2)This is tough. Most probably this opener was manufactured by one of the major companies and then branded for Edwards. Only someone familiar with older openers would be able to tell. Most likely if it is as old as you infer it would be an older radio frequency and would not work with modern electronics. I would bite the bullet and replace it with state of the art electronics and safety features....See MoreCraftsman Garage door openers old dipswitch technology
Comments (1)Unfortunately you need to purchase a new garage door opener, the rolling code remotes will not work with the dip switch system. Or you can try changing the code on the remotes and the logic board,...See MoreOld Garage door bracket replacement
Comments (0)Anyone know where I can find a replacement for these type of garage door bottom brackets? The typical bottom bracket doesn't fit. The garage door is an old solid wood door (really heavy, 1960s house). As you can see from the pictures the wheel is part of the bracket and on the inside of the part where the left cable attaches. Any help would be appreciated. I'm trying to avoid having to replace the track system and door. Comments (36)Several things..the island will feel less contrived if you were to replace the table with a round. The current square brings too much attention to the angle of the island. Either replace the foyer wallpaper or re-do the wainscoting to match the two—tones in the d.r. If you decide to replace the foyer paper be aware of background white/off-white/creme, etc. when choosing your paint color. I agree new fans without lights is in order. I think once you have all elements in place then would be a good time to reselect your lighting. Lighting has a huge influence on the overall look you are trying to achieve. Your home is lovely and has a very nice lived-in look. Good job!...See MoreDavidR
