I'm having trouble using the End Time on my Electrolux oven, too, and wondered if you could help. the problem is that after I enter everything and hit "start," it begins pre-heating the oven immediately, even though I don't want it to star cooking for hours. It's 3:45pm. I want it to cook for 60 minutes at 425 and end at 6:45pm. Here's what I'm doing: 1. Select lower oven 2. Press BAKE 3. Enter 425 (temperature) 4. Press COOK OPTIONS 5. Press COOK TIME 6. Enter 60 for 60 minutes (display says 60 minutes) 7. Press END TIME 8. Enter 6:45 (for 6:45pm. display says 6:45) 9. Press START Oven starts pre-heating immediately, which is not right. It should not start for another two hours (6:45pm - 60 mins = 5:45pm). The display says TIME REMAINING and says 3:00 ??

Your sketch isn't what I initially had in mind, but it might work. It's obvious disadvantage is that it places the bulk of one leg of your house directly adjacent to the lot-line house of your neighbor. The result would be 5' "tunnel" between the two houses. If you don't care about that or your neighbor's reactions, this idea might be worth pursuing. What I had in mind was to reverse the "L" shape of your sketch, such that one leg would be along the property line easement (as you have shown) and the other leg would be along the property line at the bottom property line. The garage would be located at the end of the "L" closest to your neighbor's property line. Garage entry might be on the side of the garage closest to you neighbor (a side loading garage) or on the side facing the street (a front loading garage), depending on choice, space available and plan arrangement. If you could get a side property line variance for the 20' setback, you likely could make enough room for a side entry garage closest to your neighbor. I don't understand the typography of your lot, so the slope may make my suggestion impractical and your idea the only feasible concept. Good luck with your project.

Treating pet odors is what I do for a living and I see situations like this on a daily basis. I am going to asume your basement subflooring is concrete which is porous and will absorb urine and its odors. Bleach is the strongest household disinfectant you can use to kill germs and odors and it will do good as a initial clean-up on the surface which is the key word. After the bleach has dried the concrete still has wet urine and odor below the surface that is still off-gassing. The next step is get the concrete as dry as possible by using air movers and dehumidifiers together this equipment will also dry the walls if the cats have been spraying on them. Finally we use a industrial sealer that has a moisture barrier and a odor barrier once applied we guarantee you will never smell any pet urine odor from any area we treat. Kills is designed for smoke odors, as cat and dog urine acids will eventually weaken the product and the urine odor will be back. Enzymes are temporary fixes or are for minor problems per the manufacturers instruction the area has to stay wet for up to 3 weeks for best results and @$20-40 gal do the math bleach is better and stronger. Besides you have already cleaned the area now you have to get it sealed. Oh! and toss the carpet It would cost you more for a pet odor treatment then replacement. clueless, thanks for posting this. I am finally done with our kitchen remodel (still shell-shocked though, LOL) and this is exactly the kind of perspective I wish there were more of on this site. I learned SO much here about layout and function, but this forum feels like a home design/decorating site a lot of the time. In hindsight I got way too swept up in how the kitchen looks/feels rather than functions (at the expense of the original budget.) There were many things I came to "want" after finding kitchen forum, and most of them I did not "need" ! We haven't moved in yet, but I really hope that I will still have succeeded in making my life easier and increasing quality time with family, like sumbrm so beautifully illustrated. I'd echo what trailrunner said, too. A kitchen comes to life because of the life that happens in it, not staged life (perfect lighting/accessories/photography etc.) Don't get me wrong I thoroughly enjoy seeing the reveals that make me feel like I'm reading a design blog or Elle Decor, but I most enjoy kitchens that really reflect the unique personality/lifestyle of the home/homeowner. I'm thinking right now of arlosmom, sayde, sabjimata, and actually, trailrunner. I know there are lots of others I'm forgetting right now. (And this is hypocritically coming from someone who just put in an off-white butler's pantry kitchen like 100 other kitchens here!) It is refreshing to see a kitchen that is not traditionally "magazine worthy" like the link below and see how folks make it work for them. I bet it's inconceivable to most of us TKO'er that this woman is not posting here for how to improve her storage and layout, LOL. But then think of the food being turned out of this kitchen...
