Do you mind if I rant for a moment?
Comments (24)The things people argue about. Where do you see some safety from poisons weÂve been dumping since before your great-great-great who ever was born. You know what was killing the coral reefs just of Hawaii? Sun tan lotion. We even make excuses to allow us to keep right on polluting. The modern lifestyle of individual houses is polluting us to death and we keep on making them. How many times do you shower a week? ThatÂs all polluted water and how much chemicals did you add to only have it last a day? Get real. Think of all the trash weÂve been piling up since when? HavenÂt you ever worked for a construction crew and see whatÂs buried right below our feet? How cities. Some they didnÂt even bother to knock down just dump dirt over. How many factories have you in your cities? How many have been abandon for how many years? You have miles and square miles of land you canÂt even use and you want to start talking about organic? Everyday 4 times a day thereÂs a raging forest fire sweeping the surface of the planet. ItÂs called driving. ThatÂs all your really doing you know, burning old trees. In your car, to the gas station, store, work and just to get away. WeÂre long past discussing "organic" and better start thinking surviving. Those long before us set this course for building a world for machines to survive in.....not people. Now to donÂt look at me for an example because IÂm caught here too. This is a problem with specialists. Their view is so narrow to them. Not their fault. That's how we got this life but specialist can't see the forest falling around them because their too busy looking at a tree....See MoreThis doesn't seem right. What do you think?
Comments (7)Of course it's wrong to cut out part of a magazine and then sell the cover, whether it's for a dollar, a quarter, or a penny. It's not less of a lie because of buyer beware (blame the victim--make them feel careless) or because it was bargain (blame the victim--make them feel greedy.) Somebody somewhere cut out 16 pages and then put the magazine up for sale like it was whole. It's more comfortable to make up excuses how it could possibly be a mistake or an oversight, but I doubt it. Anybody who cut out half of something in January is going to remember that in March. It's a nasty little trick to pull on a people having a nice day, but don't let one mosquito spoil the whole picnic. *off soapbox*...See MoreEver feel like you can't do it all ...
Comments (9)I can identify with the too much to do in too little time stress situations and I also can identify with the there is too much to do and not enough time to do it and I don't know where to start so I don't do anything syndrome. In my case, it now takes me and hour and a half to drive home from work due to the traffic problems every day that seem to get worse. I usually don't leave work until after 5:00 PM, have to get to the other side of the river which means I have to go through or near downtown Nashville and there is always some function going on there where traffic does not move. By the time I get home it is 7:00 PM, I have to change clothes, feed the horses, cats, dogs, grab something for me. By then it's 8:30 or 9:00 PM. And by then I'm too tired to do much else because I get up at 4:00 AM and start the routine in reverse all over again. Saturdays it's almost the same. Got to get all of my trash together and haul it to the collection site, go to the feed mill, co-op, grocery shopping, maybe the vet and a dozen other things. I get home around 4:00 PM and try to mow the yard. At almost dark, I'm out feeding all the animals again. Sundays I am so tired that I don't want to do anything but I have to get my clothes ready for the next week at work, do what housework that I can get by with doing and try to have some time to just do nothing. People are always telling me to "get rid of my animals", I don't want to get rid of my animals and the only way I could get rid of them is to condem them to certain death. Nobody wants the cats or dogs and my horses are untrained and old. I don't think there is any way they would even load in a truck or trailer and survive the experience. I just want time to be able to enjoy my land and my animals, and, I am hoping that is in the near future. I hope to be able to retire at the end of June....See MoreFinally finished! What do you think? Before and After
Comments (54)Beautifully done! I love everything from that rich, navy paint color to the color of the sectional and the drapes! The woman who made them for you did an excellent job (I've been sewing for 52 years). Drapes are not hard to make (at least for me) but they are a lot of work! Enjoy!...See Morelaceyvail 6A, WV
