Wall Color to go with BM Chantilly Lace Trim

Hi, I am looking for a living room and kitchen color to go with BM Chantilly Lace on trims/doors. Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried a sample of Intense White and the color seems a bit dirty/too dark of a gray. I am looking for something light ( not white) and will not wash out the cabinets.

Below is a sample of the intense white color on the wall next to the cabinets.

The trim and door is not yet painted in these pictures.

why are you using white on the walls? if you want white, then use Chantilly. (Actually, I'd use Pure White or Simply White for all the trim. they are neutral w/no undertones. Chantilly is a cool white and can have icy blue/green hues)

try crushed ice. it's a very nice color on the wall.

or BM Pale Oak. this white in the pic is a warmer, neutral white. I would rethink using Chantilly w/your warm floors and gray cabinets.

Either paint all the walls Chantilly Lace, or something with a high contrast, like dark blue, gray, green, etc. Trying to match whites is very difficult, especially via an online source--the underlying hue in off whites can prove to be a very unpleasant surprise. Color is dependent on light, and no one can see your space correctly from a computer monitor.

If you are doing Chantilly Lace on the ceiling do it flat . I used Chantilly Lace on my walls in a flat because I have a new home and they only do flat here for new homes. If your woodwork paint is oil Chantilly Lace will turn in a year to a softer white. Satin is beautiful in oil but not in latex. Latex for moulding should be in semi gloss in my opinion. If you have another room with your gray flooring look at china white with Chantilly lace... I have a lot of gray and china white looks great.

Color is always so much fun when it comes to remodeling! Chantilly Lace is a very bright white (High Hide) color. It's beautiful! I usually recommend that people reserve this color for baseboards and woodwork. However, if you love it for your walls, you could always decrease the sheen on the walls and increase the sheen for the woodwork. I suggest removing white dove from the scheme. In a poorly light or Northern exposure room, White Dove can look grimy. Do instead Chantilly Lace for trim/cabinets in a semi-gloss and Chantilly Lace for the walls and ceiling in a matte finish. The different finishes will make the one color look differently. If the above one color/different finishes isn’t enough of a contrast, do the Chantilly Lace on trim, cabinets and ceiling and try b.M. Wedding Veil on the walls in matte finish.

Oh, I am so sorry! I forgot about this. I will have my friend take pictures when she stops by in a day or two and send them to me to post here. I promise I won't forget by bookmarking this discussion. I can tell you that I just could not be happier. It doesn't appear any other color than neutral white regardless of what direction the sun comes in or if it is at night with drapes closed and lights on. The ever-so-slightly shiny texture of the faux white silk drapes against it looks fantastic too. I'll be back as soon as I can.

The paint sample is BM Intense White in the second picture =)

Someone recommended I go with Chantilly Lace Trim and Door and BM Intense White Walls.

I have Chantilly Lace and Intense White in my kids' bedroom, it looks beautiful together in a south facing room. Can you go 50% on the gray if it seems too dark?

What is your furniture? That might have an impact on wall color choice.
