Quality sofa from Restoration Hardware?
Comments (38)I have the Cambridge sofa in vintage black. After 3 years it was saggy on one side and had lost quite a bit of leather on the seating area so I contacted them and they replaced it. The new one looks better but they went from a 98" sofa to an 8ft one but when measuring it, it actually measures smaller than 8 ft. I also have noticed that when someone gets off it, the other person can feel it, almost like it's not level or build strong enough, it goes up and down. Hard to explain but we're small people. I actually preferred the saggy, missing leather to the new version. If you can find anywhere else to get what you want in a sofa, do it. Restoration Hardware may look pretty but it's not well made unfortunately....See MoreRestoration Hardware Leather Sofa
Comments (44)In today’s market place between online merchants and local furniture stores you can find almost anything you are searching for. There is a fine line to finding quality leather furniture at a price most can afford. RH gets tons of attention because of their large marketing budget and many retail locations but as you can see by this thread there are many other alternatives to their styles and leather color selection. 8-way hand tied, solid hardwood frame and premium leather are a must when searching for quality leather furniture. Furniture products made in America are much higher quality and you should expect them to last longer than the same looking products made off shore (China). As you can see in viewing this thread, there are so many other options to the same looking RH designs. Comfort and good quality are the bottom line at a price we can afford. Materials used, country of origin and your leather choice will dictate your price point. Before you buy leather furniture anywhere, take a few minutes and get educated about your purchase. Comments (64)Well apparently I stink at this and don't see issues with furniture. :p I guess I need to work on that. Looking at these few now. This is kind of a walk through Boop's learning how to buy used furniture thread or furniture in general I Think. I like this set from Vanguard. I think I read that is a decent name. I don't know why but I really like the warmth of the orange. It says Best offer and is from furniture land south. I have no idea what is reasonable to offer. I really like these, but I think the arms might be too high for everyday use.... These look too lumpy right? this is a pair of Baker sofas. Good price I think. Velvet, but I love that and the price is so good I think I could deal with that and the cleaning or recovering the cushions at some point. To the person who said I was all over the place it is true. There is really nothing I am married to in this room ATM besides The IKEA birch expedit shelves and the TV. Well and the brick fireplace (we are thinking of putting in a pellet stove there) I am planning to paint the walls BM windswept. I think it will go with many colors and the kitchen which this room is open to. We currently have a sofa and loveseat. The sofa is shot (very ripped, not worth repairing I think) and the loveseat is OK. A cheap set overall....See MoreRestoration Hardware - shipping is how much???
