Comments (1)We chose ceasarstone for the countertop in one of our bathroom remodels. It has not been completed yet so I don't have pictures, but I chose it to go with slate floors and porcelain/slate shower and alder cabinets. I was told that you have to buy a whole slab so its not economical if you have a small space to do, but we have a long counter so it worked. I did not want to do granite because I have never been on the granite bandwagon, for kitchens or bathrooms, and was looking for durable alternatives. The ceasarstone website shows lots of really modern options but I bet a google image search or something on www.houzz.com could show you color options that aren't super modern. Our bathroom is the opposite of ultra modern in our wood trim, mountain home. I chose paperstone counters in another bathroom but that might not be what you are looking for. It's not shiny and has more of a honed quality look to it. Its durable though (that was chosen for the kids bath)....See MoreKitchen paint color that matches countertop’s orange/brown
Comments (7)orPaint the trim around the door a nice crisp white (use a semi gloss enamel like BM Advance.) Paint the window and trim in the same white. paint your door black or Iron Ore. remove that valance. Replace the cabinet hardware to a matte black or a brushed nickel. try Pale oak on the walls, and two of these others for the trim/door color or for under the window you could do a built in bench against that wall (see pic,,,ignore the L shape. you would just do the single bench against the wall) and find a rectangle table to push up next to the bench. add two chairs for the other side...See MoreMSI quartz sample does not match counter tops
Comments (6)Thanks Sammy and JuneKnow. They have already cut the countertop (they came to install it, but one of the cabinets is damaged and is getting replaced first...in some ways we were lucky that we got to see it before the install). I am hoping the issue is they did the wrong mix/quartz, ie the Montclair White. It's shocking how different both design and color are from the sample. I'd expect that with granite, not quartz. The back of the samples say there may be "slight variation", but is representative of color and material. We've paid 50% at this point. Ugh. Comments (7)Just because you think the kitchens are identical does not make it so. You still need to measure and I have to agree the one you have works much better with your cabinets unless of course you are having your cabinets painted. But an actual measure of all the pieces will be needed for sure if painting is in your plan...See Morebeth karas
