grout color for white subway tiles
Comments (16)Testimonials aside, there is no doubt that white shows dirt/grime/whatever more than gray. Beyond that, it is just a personal preference of what you want it to look like. Gray grout is a much more traditional choice than white. If you are going for a vintage look, that would be my choice. On the flip side, if you are going to more a more "clean line" modern style, then I'd go with white....See MoreNeed grout color for Daltile white subway tiles

Comments (4)All of the grays that your speaking of a fairly dark. It seems to me that they'll make the tile look framed which is what yousaid you don't want to do. You might want to consider Quartz, Snow White or Oyster Gray. Y may also want to do a mock-up with a half dozen tiles just to see. Below is a link to Polyblend's color chart. Comments (17)I have to agree I am not a fan of mosaic tile. And the one you have is very dark. Be careful with your grout choices. The bottom two are going to look glaring, IMHO, if that is what you were going to use with that mini-brick subway . To envision how it will look, Google “white subway tile“ and “light pewter grout,“ or whatever, and you will generally get a lot of pictures. There just aren’t that many shades of grout. Once you have clarified your cabinetry color and your countertops, you will get a lot of great advice here. But in general, I think the trend in kitchen design is for a very simple backsplash. You don’t see much travertine or mosaic anymore. Good luck with your project! It looks like great fun....See MoreUser
