Pepper plants pests and/or disease?

Jonathan Harrah

Two pepper plants, both potted. One is baby bell pepper, the other is an Asian chile pepper with the peppers growing upwards. I don’t have much experience with growing and I’ve noticed a couple issues with both.

The leaves on the bell pepper have slits in them, a couple brown spots, and just today a few leaves were brown around the edges, with one of the leaves starting to curl up.

The chile plant has some holes in leaves, a few leaves seemingly getting eaten away and increasingly the leaves have some yellow coloring throughout.

Both plants have plenty of fruit on them, but both are also brown around the base of the main stem, where it meets the soil. It seems like the brown, dry, bark like part of the stem is moving further up the plant.

Is this normal, a pest, a disease, or some combination? Thanks for any help!
