After bear attack - what to do now

Out About

Hello, I am new here. I live in a mountainous wooded area in CO and have "raised" bluebirds for years. We have black bears in the area, I try to do things to not attract the bears. I feed the bluebirds mealworms, but I always take the bowl inside each night, and I don't put out hummingbird feeders.

But still, about 10 days ago, one of my boxes were torn apart by a bear and nestlings were gone. It was so sad, the parents came to feed the babies and kept wanting to go into the box that were no longer there.

Anyway, the parents hang around for mealworms. Today I found a blue egg in an unoccupied box, I think by the same parents. This box is on a PVC pipe, about 5 feet from the ground, which will be in danger of another bear attack in the future. I think that I want to relocate the box to a higher ground beyond the bear's reach like suggested by http://www.sialis.org/bears.htm, this will move the boxed by about 50 feet. My question is - will the bluebirds still find the box?

Thank you very much!
