I noticed that when I went to NEXT in order to post, the topics listed daylilies and also "paint". I have no idea how that got there, I sure didn't do it, so I deleted it and left daylilies, of course. Who knows what will show up next time?

Susan Weber is always towards the end here. She could be finicky, but threw some lovely flowers.

I sure LOVE that clump of Black Falcon Ritual. I almost got it this year but decided I have WAY too many purples already.....but it's still on my list. I've never seen Carmen Renee that pale. I am way behind everyone but can't wait until my Claudine's Charm blooms....it's a favorite. Whenever you and Debra post Lillian's Thin Ice it's really not fair to all the other daylilies! I really need to get that daylily in my garden! It is just jaw-dropping, crazy- gorgeous and perfect. Where did you get yours?

I got my first bloom of Claudine's Charm today, I can't wait til it clumps up, just a beautiful flower. I did get Black Falcon Ritual this spring, may not see blooms this year, but I am enjoying yours. I have lots of dark ones too, but don't have Celeste's restraint. And got Lillian's Thin Ice, it has 3 bloom scapes so I should see something soon. Looks like they may be short, I may take the scapes off 2, the heat is really hitting my daylilies hard.

First, a big thanks to all for liking the daylilies. I am going to answer Celeste first about Lillian's Thin Ice. I had to go back in the time machine to find out just when I bought it. It came as an Instant Buy on the Lily Auction from Tink--Michele Taylor-- and it arrived in the fall of 2014. I have checked a few places for availability and was coming up empty, but good news-- I did find it at Shady Rest Gardens. A double fan is listed for $25. I have bought a couple of daylilies from Doris and David Bishop of SRG and received very nice plants. In fact, the major one I wanted was not listed for sale, but they sold it to me--really nice people to do business with. I already have a daylily on reserve for their sale which is coming up in July. Yes, it looks as if this was purple day, didn't realize it until everyone pointed it out. It's too bad about Carmen Renee, I always think of Celeste's picture of it, so beautiful. I know this weather is killing the color on so many of our plants. Glad to get that pic of Susan Weber since it was almost killed a couple of years ago by some strange insects that were in the roots. Now it is better than it was before, go figure. Nancy, to your point about the short scapes on LTI, as I recall, ours put on height every year, so perhaps next year your scapes will be taller, hope so.

I like Claudine's Charm. Tried to get it a couple of times but it was always sold out.

These all look good in spite of the heat. Claudine's Charm is always striking. And Black Falcon Ritual looks fabulous in a clump!

Claudines Charm & Allegheny Skyline steal the show for me. Yes, that is quite light for Carmen Renée. Black Falcon Ritual is looking exceptionally nice.
