When I lived in Ok. the people on the street behind us had one it was huge, we could hear it, when a repair person had to go on it they looked miniature up there. We see the blades often on the interstate from Texas to Ok. because there's a factory that makes them right along side the interstate, there's usually several wings laying out in their yard awaiting delivery. If we had a farm with acreage again I would definitely consider one. I love the old fashioned ones you still see on farms.

A few years ago in Myakka River State Park in Florida, a bird watcher was pointing out various birds in the park, and was excited about seeing a Caspian Tern (IIRC) when this Bald Eagle took off and flew away. I was thrilled, but the bird watcher guy, pooh pooh-ed it saying "Oh we see those here all the time, you should be excited by the Caspian Tern" (which looked just like the birds next to it except for a bright orange beak)

My little orchid is doing so well, especially since I got it off Freecycle a year and a half ago, and it was just the 2 sticks. All of the blooms aren't even off of it before it starts throwing out new buds. The 3rd bud opened yesterday. What I do find a little unusual, or maybe it isn't; is that I get new leaves as well. I've had 3 new leaves as well.

The birds are a great Sunday topic! I love the chickadee, but that baby Nicole posted made me go awwww. What is that Nicole? Curlew? Stork?
