Comments (8)I'm here too! NHSuzanne: HUGS, again! Man, you haven't gotten a break lately in the stress dept! With regard to your sis, my sister had a grapefruit-size fibroid removed from her ovary. It had completely engulfed the outside of her ovary. It was harmless and she remains in excellent health, with no other similar occurance in over 10 years. I hope your sis has the same experience. The medical field has advanced so much now that there are many options in treatment, depending on what she is dignosed with. Keep a positive attitude and take care of yourself. She may need your strong and capable attitude to help her through whatever is in her future, whether it be a surgery or something more. You will be her rock and we will be your positive light to come to. ((((((LEAN ON YOUR FRIENDS)))))))) Raeanne: I'm doing laundry today and tomorrow. I have so much to do, as I have been spent 2 days helping friends this week and it put me pretty far behind in my duties---worth every minute though! I'm headed to weigh in at WW today. Then, I'm home to do a brutal clutter reduction in my office, then a bike ride to clear my senses! DH and I haven't had our discussion, but are going to tonight. He has had a lot of studying to do, so we re-scheduled. We had a wonderful dinner last night at an Italian place and then went to a local free concert of Michael Powers, a jazz guitarist. Very good player! DeeMarie: The new healthcare laws do not prohibit docs from giving results over the phone to the patient. My guess is there may be a blip on the blood test that the doc wants to talk about in person with your DH to make a larger, more personal impact. I believe (and I'm just hanging an opinion here) that if it was VERY serious, the doc would not wait to share the info. As the others here indicated, if his cholesterol or something else is off, the doc may want to share the health risks and ideas for a diet plan to improve the circumstances. I am not of the opinion that docs have special appts to make more money; it would be terribly unethical; maybe I have been living in a fantasy land tho'! lol. ((((((HUGS AND SECURE FEELING ARE GOING YOUR WAY, SIS)))))) CHECK IN EVERYONE!!!! WE MISS YOU!...See Morehelp...lost a loved one of 18.. i am 16.
Comments (12)Angelfalls, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I too, remember being 16 and so in love. I know that the feelings are real. Having lost my 19 year old daughter and watching her boyfriend deal with her loss, I can speak only from that experience. I have not ever lost a boyfriend. They loved each other very much and he grieved greatly, as you do. After almost 8 years, he recently found another girl whom he loves and who makes him happy. He will always have Christin in his heart along with all of the very happy memories and so many special times that they shared. Just because he has moved with his life doesn't mean that he has forgotten her or ever will. I know that Christin would want him to have a happy life because she loved him that much. I know that you don't feel like living or thinking about the future and Christin's boyfriend didn't either. All he could think about was Christin and being with her again no matter what it took. As time passed, that pain eased and happy memories took the place of the horrible sadness and grief and lonliness. The same thing will happen with you. I know it doesn't seem possible now, but it will happen. Just take each day at a time with your grief, just like we all have to do. I promise you, he will remain in your heart, but your heart wom't feel broken anymore. It will heal. I'm glad you came here. We all care. Comments (11)Weedyacres, I agree that a good tile installer does a dry layout first to assess the best way to install the tiles to create as little cuts as possible. If the tile installer would have started the diamond design at my door next to the rug area and worked his way forward so that at least the door area had tiles right up against it and most of the rug area did also, the window area would have no gaps and there would only be a 2" gap by the wall opposite the door. That gap would have been covered up by a 1 7/8th diamond cut of the tile in a few areas leaving the 1/8th width between the other tiles. The tile would have not fell out after being glued and having a quarter round on top. The installer started in the middle of the floor and then told me if he did not due the border I would waste so many tiles since he would have to put tiny pieces about 1/4th to 3/4th all along the edges. After he was done, I only saw spaces of 1 3/8th to 1 1/2 spaces at the door so he was wrong. He also forgot about the other wall on the other side of the door not having to have the tiles 1/8th from the wall since a quarter round would be covering the area. He tried so hard and I know I could have never cut those tiles so I feel very bad but in person, the problems were more noticeable. I also did not want a border in such a little area and I had shown him a picture of what I wanted and he told me 1/8th width was no problem for him with the spacers. I wish when the installer asked me where we should start the tiles, I wish I would have told him, let's lay them all out first and then we shall see how they fit and then I would have realized the tiles should start at the door. I was busy with ear plugs on trying to work but I could not work once he started the border since it was upsetting me. If I had a bigger foyer area, the border would have been nice if it was straight. Once the quarter rounds would have been put back on the sides of the wall, the tiles would have not looked centered anyway and the 3" wide X 12" boards would have not been the same size any more as on the other two walls without the quarter rounds. I now have no tiles and only cement floors blocked by gates but I could not let him do the middle foyer that had 4 doors since I do not feel he knew how to handle doors. Comments (26)Gosh, Donna, what a bizarre accident! I'm so glad you took it seriously and went to the ER. I have a friend who almost lost her finger because of her cat's bite. Her cat was sitting in her lap as she sat in a recliner. She sat up, and the cat's tail got caught in the chair's mechanism causing kitty to bite her finger in its distress. She didn't go to the ER until the finger was infected. She spent 5 days in the hospital and came close to having the finger amputated. I'm so happy you are on the mend. There are easier ways to get your ears pierced....See MoreLisa Adams
