Cabinet pull up on cabinet, not sure I'm crazy about it!
Comments (14)Oh, another note. Choosing pulls was really hard for me, & I did find pulls that I loved - really loved - but ended up with some rather pedestrian but perfectly functional pulls that do indeed work well with all of the other elements in my kitchen (& cost a WHOLE lot less than some of the ones I loved, which was a big part of the equation for me). And the pulls I have are just fine - they do what they're supposed to do, & they do a very good job of it. And I love the way they feel, and I'm perfectly happy with them. FWIW :)...See MoreContrast between walls and trim? Not sure what to paint what.

Comments (3)Oxford White is CC-30. It's on the same card as decorator's white in my sample. Now I am having major second thoughts on the White Dove because of some of the comments that I have read. People who have it seem to love it but many others have commented that it looks dingy. I really don't know what to think but after comparing our shutters, doors and trim to my samples, they are definitely Oxford White. I'm thinking that I definitely have to choose either Oxford White or something that is noticeably different. I asked my local store about samples. Yes, they will mix me a sample for $10. (Highway robbery if I want five lol) They did have some old small sample jars in their Affinity collection. They're very cheap so maybe I'll buy a few of those to give me an idea if I want a white or an off white/cream. Does anyone have a paint suggestion?...See MorePanicking about trim painting, what do I do?
Comments (13)My heart goes out to you. I had my front door at our other home painted. I assumed the contractor that was doing other work for me was also painting. I stopped up during lunch and found a young man that I didn't know painting it. He hadn't turned a light on let alone use a work light. I talked to him for a bit and found out the only other painting experience that he had was helping to paint cinder blocks at the YMCA. I called the contractor right away and told him to pull the man off the job and inspect the door. The guy ruined it. He must have taken a sander to one part of the door and nothing would cover it because the texture had changed in that spot. The contractor agreed to let me hire my own painter, who does our cedar siding every few years. He did a much better job but was apologetic about not being able to cover the one large patch. Make sure you contact the main painter and have him inspect the job that has been done so far. I am sure he will take the crew to task and make sure that it is completed properly. That strike plate is just sloppy work!...See Morecolotwn
