SWestern Ont & Michigan - Free Brugs 4 Pick up
Comments (13)Hi tech, I truley wish I could send these out to everybody who wants one...I have more than 30 cuttings and that's not what I have left on CG's & Frosty stalks down in the basement. My garden buddies around here will be all over them, just don't know how many they have room for. I'm trying to get them well rooted and leaves on first and some are starting to and ya all know what that means. I had to unpot one 7 I had potted up as I don't think all the nubbies it had could take care of the size of the stalk. I put as much under the dirt as possible so to allow as many roots as possible to grow but only after I know it's not dying back while rooting so I know what'll live after it's got roots and stopped any rubberizing/drying out of stalk tips. The only thing I did wrong was to assume nubbies would work for the size I was growing which were at least 1' tall. I needed at least 1" roots for that size. Hey Jim S- those frilly raggedy flower heads are big dahlias. There are lots of us who fans of those to. They make great cut flowers to, if even just one to bring but they are from tubers and have to be dug out for overwintering to...but at least they aren't nearly the trouble to bring a brug in, even 20 of those is less trouble then even one brug I brought in but I wrestled to bring in a triple stalk CG of a height of 5 1/2 ' not including the huge pot I had to manage very thick stiff long roots in. A women in my condition would be considered 'attempting suicide' for doing such a thing. I had to use my screwed on head (with another bad disc not to mention the others in my back) to balance that thing while getting the roots in. Proud to say I did not cut a single root...lol Come to think of it maybe one....See MoreThe back button - more annoying problems...
Comments (15)I've also had the problem with the scroll bar and hitting F5 didn't help, but the refresh button at the top brought it back. However, the pages load so slowly that I have to wait again for the page to refresh to get the scroll bar back, which is maddening. I've also had the log in repeatedly issue and sometimes have to hit the back button 3 or 4 times to return to the main page. I also just hit the "preview message" box and waited 4 minutes and 11 seconds. Then I hit the back button and came back here, so I can try again. It'll sometimes take me 10 or 15 minutes to open a thread, type a message, hit preview and then post. Sometimes I just give up before my message ever posts. Sigh. It gets worse and worse all the time. Annie...See MoreBack button
Comments (7)" ... after reading a posting, and I click on the Back button, at the top left hand corner of the screen, in order to return to the Computer Help Forum ... The back button isn't working even here on gardenweb.com? If so, I don't think gardenweb causing it but I don't really know. Just out of curiosity... (1) Is the back arrow broken on all sites, or just a few certain ones? (2) What OS? XP, Vista, Seven, Eight, etc? (3) What browser/version are you using? Such as IE7, IE8, IE9, Firefox 23, etc. I'm seeing numerous results when searching, such as this one. I'm not saying it applies to you, but maybe it's worth a look? Here is a link that might be useful: back button not working...See MoreWeird happening
Comments (3)I've not had this happen to me but most often such irritations are fixed with a reboot. Here are a few things I would try to get to reboot(make sure to save & close everything first) Try this Alt + F4 - This should bring the shutdown dialog. If that didn't work, see if you have the windows key on your keyboard, click it to see if it brings up the start menu. The key looks like this - Windows Key If that doesn't work, try moving the task bar to another location on the screen - Instructions to move task bar - Different location but you can access the shutdown button If nothing else works, save everything & try to force a shutdown by holding the power button on your laptop. HTH...See Morematti5
