Comments (59)I got around the log in issue by adopting a new pseudonym (username). It kept rejecting my old one. Sure the old profile and data still survive somewhere. Existing in parallel universes has its perks, I guess. But all this white hurts my eyes. Do we need to go to settings each time we visit here to reduce luminosity?! I feel like I now know what it must be like to go snow blind!!! Maybe just wear a pair a shades....See Moresome guy just tried to use our port-a-potty
Comments (148)Think of it this way Kate...at least you got responses...and lots of them at that...some poor threads never see the light of day and drift off into cyberspace where no one can even hear their screams! ;) Have a good day everyone! :) Kat...See MoreHow long does it take for new A/C to cool a hot house?
Comments (20)I've got the installer coming out early next week. He only appeared in the morning and left installation to his underlings (he tells me all are on the payroll though!). He said the condenser or coil--I am not sure which--gives off some air. If anyone is interested in seeing a pic of the unit with the air leaks, I could send a pic that I took with the leaks circled in red. Now he also says something about the possibility of the ducts having leaks......See MoreWhat are your thoughts with this new format?
Comments (167)I loved the way Mongo and Bill and others gave us homeowners help on GW. You guys have always been the heart of the forums, helping others for no compensation and being very kind in the process. Here on Houzz, contractors have been known to put up informational articles, then when you ask a specific question, they want a credit card number to discuss your project with you. They want to consult from a continent away, sell you the drain, and you have no way of knowing if they know what they are talking about. It feels sleazy to me. That is why I always returned to the Bathroom forum on THS at GW to ask the technical questions. Informed homeowners and the real pros were generous and helpful. That is the beauty of the web. I trust that you folks will not steer me wrong, because you are not selling me anything. Once you get me started in the right direction, I can speak with some knowledge to the people here in real life and they will treat me with more respect, too. You professionals at THS at GW give us confidence in our ability to hire good pros, as well as do-it-yourself knowledge. You are priceless. Thank you....See Moreirina_co
