Is anyone else experiencing problems posting?
Comments (3)"LOL" well ravencajun just look at it this way you're such a busy person and your concentrating on a lot of things that can normally distract you. I've often thought about getting me one of those little recorders to remind me of important dates etc. I haven't done that yet and not sure if they still exist, since I've waited so long to look for one. I guess I've been to busy to go look huh? "LOL" I always try to come back to let you all know rather a suggestion has worked for me or not, but if I don't come back it is because I am unable to post back. Gremlins are in the GW servers! We definately need some pest removers to get rid of those pesky Gremlins. "LOL" I sure hope they get the problem fixed soon. zep516, I sure am glad to hear you are not having any issues here. I am hoping they get this fixed soon. They have posted above that there are problems so they are aware of it. I just hate not being able to respond back to those of you who have taken your time to help me. This is apparently something that is happening intermittently and when that happens I know it is harder to find. Thank you for your help, I do appreciate it. thirdfrt!!!...See MoreIs there a way to find my previous posts?
Comments (12)Susan_2008. You couldn't find your thread because it has long since fallen off the list. Only 67 pages worth of threads are kept "active". "Active" means you can find a thread via the GW search function or by finding it in the list of threads. A thread is tracked by the last time someone posted to it...while it's still active. On the Kitchens Forum, 67 pages means only about two month's worth of threads are "active" Right now, as I type, the last thread on page 67 (which is the next to "fall off") says "...7 follow-ups, last one posted on Wed, Sep 10, 08 at 6:57". Any thread with a "last posted" date/time before that is now gone or "inactive". In the past, this meant you usually couldn't access the thread, even if you had the correct URL. You'd get a "missing file" message. However, sometime around the beginning of this year we discovered that if you have the direct URL you can still access "inactive" threads...not all, mostly those that have at least one post in 2008. You can also still post to it, but it will not re-activate the post. As was the case with your thread, sometimes inactive threads can be found by doing an internet-wide search (i.e., not just GW). If you want to access later, bookmark it!...See MoreHas anyone seen my post

Comments (3)Ophoenix, many folks have mentioned having issues posting photos, especially in the original post. It seems to be easier in follow up comments, but it is truly frustrating and has been going on for weeks without Houzz seeming to be working on a fix despite many comments about it. That is a stunning set of flowers, so I am glad you persisted and were finally able to post them. Roxanna, sometimes a post can get delayed for some reason between the writing of the post and its public appearance. Can you see it in the list of postings you have created on your My Houzz page if you click on Activity and then Posts? If it is in the list and you click the link to take you there, can you reach the post? Is it visible in the forum(s) you listed it in? Sometimes if you add some forums that aren’t directly related such as asking about paint colors in he landscape design forum, folks will flag it as miscategorized. It then will disappear for a bit until Houzz decides if it is appropriately placed. One way to avoid this is to carefully consider where it should be best posted and not necessarily add all three possible forums and instead only post on the single most appropriate forum....See Moremoonie_57 (8 NC)
