I'm totally with pitimpinai... Home Depot is notorious for "mislabeling" the appropriate growing place for many plants and shrubs. You may be able to get them to bloom in doors, but because the buds are so tight, my worry is that without enough light and water, the buds may dry and drop. Lilies that are sold as "house plants" are usually sold in bloom and treated like a bouquet of flowers. This time of year, these were probably being forced in a green house to bloom for Thanksgiving and are blooming a mite early. You don't indicate your hardiness zone or location. If you are in an area where it's still "autumn", warm days and cool evenings but still in the 50's at night and you can put it outside, even in the pot, you might have better luck but getting it into the ground would be the best. Of course, if you are having winter frosts and cold nights, that is not an option. In that case, I would do the best you can to provide as much light as possible, water, and after it (hopefully) blooms for you, if you like the color, save the bulb and plant it in the yard in the spring.

Me too . I can't wait . I have dozens of little color buds waiting to pop all over my 25 bushes. I think what they need is a few days in a row of some nice warm sunny days. I have given them water, fertilizer and alfafa tea. Maybe I should try doing a HHRD.

Andrea....... I have an idea. Why don't you check into volunteering at the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden ? They need volunteers and you would be able to see thousands of roses and work with people who love roses and love to teach about roses. Their volunteers range from those who are new to roses to experienced rosarians. The more different roses you handle, the more you learn about them. It will depend alot of weather conditions because I had mine in the cool garage or outdoors on nice days in the winter, and they really have taken forever (a few mos) on some of them to open...whereas in the spring or early fall the buds seem to grow much faster and flower sooner. Maybe if you can give it more warmth and greenhouse conditions you could get flowers sooner. Just don't let the plant dry out or be in windy areas or the buds will fall off or dry up..Also make sure it gets enough light.
