where to purchase large odd size rug

Hi!

I have a room that’s 25x 15 and looking to get a rug mainly to protect my new hardwood flooring we just installed. All I can find bound is 12x15 which would still be too small. Looking for a 12x 20 preferably. I’ve been in talks with a local carpet company who can custom make and bind one but it’s so expensive. Any other ideas?

Not sure if you've found the answer to your problem yet, but having dealt with rugs for a few decades now, the larger odd sizes are becoming more difficult to find. We have to do a lot of our larger sizes (bigger than 10x13) as custom rugs. I'd say look around and see if you can find something ready to go in that size, if not, depending on the type of material you choose for the custom rug, custom rugs may be your best bet!

Arizona is a Citrus State. Here there are Nurseries all over the place that sell 24"-60" box trees that have to be moved with forklifts or cranes. They don't sell online and don't ship though. Texas is a Citrus State. I would assume there are nurseries in Texas that sell similar trees. I have never heard of the company I am posting a link to and they have not received any reviews at the Dave's Garden Watchdog. I consider such places to be a crap shoot. Hard time deciding on rug size for large sectional

I have a 154" x 106" sectional with no chaise, and my 9'x12' rug sits right in front. So my top left rug corner sits right where you have that darkened/shaded V-corner. The rug ties the room together and it didn't make sense to hide half of it under the sectional. I also have quite a bit of space in front of the sectional that I didn't want to be bare hardwood. 9'x12' rug will work for your sectional, you'll just have to play around with how much will or will not sit under the sectional, which will depend on your room layout, walkways around it, etc.

@aktillery9 I will post another pick to maybe show better what I mean! This is the view looking into the family foom. Kitchen is on the left and dining is on right, marked by two of those pillars. So a rug tucked under the sofa would just sort of start abruptly when viewed from this angle. Maybe I'm imagining that this will look odd ha ha!

Regarding changing the counter -- the piggy bank is empty :-) In the last 4 months I have had to replace hardwood flooring, carpeting, doors, trim, etc throughout the house. The kitchen is not in the budget for a very long time.
