Honestly, I think you're worrying too much about everything matching. Countertops shouldn't match appliances and I think you shouldn't be concerned about whether the white sink matches. I have a dark granite, wood cabinets, stainless appliances and a white sink. The white trim on my doors and windows make the white elsewhere work well. I don't think you should tear out the granite but give yourself time to adjust to it......especially since you've never had anything with pattern. The White Spring granite is a lovely granite and it goes well with many colors. Post a photo here, or on the Home Decor forum, so we can see what it looks like in your home. Happy -- Thanks for your ideas. I'm struggling with styles. "Victorian" is really too formal for our life. A "Painted Lady" would be totally fun for us, but over-the-top for our neighbourhood. "Arts and Crafts" and Nwe like, but it isn't very cozy and to re-do this interior in that style it might mean a lot of work. "English Cottage" or even "American Cottage" or "Canadian Cottage", to me, mixes the informal, cozy lifestyle we have, plus allows for some "Shabby Chic" and even "Victorian", "Painted Lady" and "Craftsman" elements. I do like Art Neuveau and Deco, too. I'm in love with William Morris fabrics... and Ralph Lauren, also. I'm not sure how to bring this all together. I LOVE this exterior ...Pam

I have not experienced that, but have replaced door knobs before. Wouldn't it be easier just put replace the door knobs. I put lever handles on mine and it was not problem. You will need to take a key in to have them fit the new lock to the key, so you will just have one key for all the doors.

Yes, where is Tibb when we need her? I think there are probably other maybe even better websites where you can do this yourself (and you'll certainly do a better job than me!) but I found this one to be so user friendly, I stuck with it.
