Any ideas about what to do with gallstones during pregnancy??
Comments (10)I do have someone that comes in on Thursday's to help with the kids. She also does some cleaning and laundry for me. I have Dr.'s appointments every 2 weeks from now on out so have made those on Thursday's so I don't have to take the kids with me. Last week was the first time, and it was nice to have someone entertain the kids and help with picking up. I got to go and pick peaches, apples and pears to make baby food for the new little one and pick up groceries without 3 helpers in tow. My mil also offered to come over once a week and my mom has been trying to come up once a week. So even though it is going to be a long 2 and a half months the help will be appreciated. I tried in May to find someone to come in during the week for a few days or afternoons and couldn't find anyone interested in helping out, even high school girls or college girls home for the summer. I will post picks, but I am so big this time around and my stomach is hard as a rock and stretching like crazy, I hate to think of how much extra skin I will have after the baby is born. After the baby is born, I will have to wait 6 weeks and have to have gallbladder surgery and will be out of commission for a few more weeks. I am definately not looking foreward to 2 surgeries so close together, but I am not going to keep dealing with the gallbladder attacks if I don't have to. Comments (18)I am sorry to hear you were in the hospital. I haven't had a gall bladder attack yet but I have heard they are painful. My Mom could never explain to me what was wrong with her other than to say she felt funny now and then. I took her to the Doctor and it turned out she had 6 gallstones. They can be dangerous if they move into the ducts and cause a blockage. My Mom had her gallbladder out by laproscopy and she was fine after with no problems. I have a friend who had his removed and he can't eat pork of any kind. Goes right through him. LOL Hope you don't have any more attacks before you get your gallbladder removed. Comments (24)I hesitated to bring up Pancreas issues that are in the same area but ravencajun rightly brought it up. Why don't we go to the doctor when we have issues. I was talking recently to a friend who had problems and when they checked her out it was apparently not serious but she was feeling silly. Why? She should feel relieved. Since when does it have to be tragic to warrant going to see a doctor. Go. We are incredibly fortunate that efforts to replace that system with a silent coup failed. We were scheduled to have our president chosen FOR us, without ever knowing it had happened, or who participated I eat a very healthy diet as well but had reflux for over twenty years with all sorts of pain and sometimes vomiting. I am sensitive to onions. When I eliminated those I was fine. I don't even remember now why I considered that. It can be any old weird thing no matter how carefully you eat. Good luck....See MoreGallstones Anyone?
Comments (12)I had a searing pain in my upper right abdomen that lasted 4-6 hours with each attack. A 9 out of 10 on the pain scale to the point where I had cold sweats and nausea. The first attack came almost immediately after my first c***d shot and I thought I had a reaction to the vaccine. In hindsight I believe the attack had been building for months if not years and was triggered by the greasy grilled cheese sandwich I had for lunch and was in no way related to the vax. A second attack followed a month later and a third a few months later which sent me to the ER for a diagnosis. I had a fourth attack a few days after the ER visit while waiting to have surgery scheduled. If it is gallstones, I’d recommend having your gallbladder removed sooner rather than later. Good luck....See More- 8 years ago
