Landscapers Challenge...all advice welcome. :) (photos)
Comments (46)Hi everybody, Just got finished reading this book of a thread. I would say I have learned a lot in here and appreciate EVERY single bit of advice.....the good, the bad and the ugly. Inkognito-I did enjoy the sing-a-long, it was just soooo beautiful!!!! ( and yes saypoint, I heard you singing too). I'd have to agree with everyone who said your advice was perfect. I need to close my eyes and invision what I would like there, it's hard to do but my brain sure could use the exercise. Nippersdad, you nailed my thought process perfectly, especially with the " I think it is rather unfair to paint the solicitation of ADVICE (particularly when accompanied with a smiley face) as a demand for free services." comment. First I LMAO at the smiley face remark :) but I really did think that this would just be a fun discussion for those of us who like to give our 2 cents worth on these forums. Somebody mentioned to do your homework first. For a lot of us out here, THIS is our homework. I have learned more in these forums than I have ever learned in a magazine or book. The ideas I've gotten from these types of discussions are priceless. Oh, I almost forgot - Nipper, you have me really wanting a screened in area under the deck, it's only money right? I would like to clarify that I never complained about posters and their responses. I got the impression that some of you think I did. I don't get my panties in a wad over internet remarks....See MoreCan't Resist A Challenge From A Nice-Looking Dud
Comments (12)Your TS is bigger than mine after two seasons in the ground... I'll bet you'll do fine with it if you don't plant it too deep like I think I did mine. Darn thing should grow better than the all yellow Maui Buttercups - but it sounds like I'm not the only one finding it slow... I'm betting all those yellow sports are going to end up looking like Maui Buttercups. I've grown a number of MB from tc and like TS and Rainforest Sunrise, their childish and adolescent leaves and structures don't look much like the mature plants. So I'm going to just pull them off and plant them nearby... I think we'll end up with lots of MB-lookalikes......See MoreColor challenged!! Need advice
Comments (1)This is the gallery -- like an art gallery of photos. To get the attention you want and deserve, you need to post your questions over on the Discussions board. If you close this thread and look at the list of threads, at the top right you will see the link "Discussions." Click on that and enjoy! :)...See MoreColor challenged!! Need advice
Comments (0)We've moved into a smaller existing home that had been custom built using SW Relaxed Khaki in main living/hallways. This color is used from crown molding/walls/baseboards. All windows are trimmed with shudders included with same color. Ceilings are whitish. This color appears green, but most often gives a greyish hue which is just not me as I'm more yellowish, brown type. PROBLEM! Since the entire home has molding/baseboards with this same color, cost/time is just too much. The living/formal dining is together with dark wood floor. Windows do not get direct sunlight at all, but room is bright during day. Any suggestions for coordinating colors with SW Relaxed Khaki that doesn't give greyish hues, but shows the pretty molding????? Image link:...See Moregroveraxle
