Advice on paint color for cabinets, backsplash and walls.

Need suggestions on colors to match my new granite countertop. (See pic).

I was thinking the cabinets, and maybe the backsplash? could be White Dove by Benjamin Moore (see pic below).

For the walls, I would like a grey/beige color.

The room is south-facing.

Also, cabinets are covered in thermofoil. Should I sand and paint, or remove the thermofoil and then paint over. I am NOT in love with the yellow cabinets!

Any suggestions? Thanks.

I think it can be done. There are products that can paint over plastic so I am sure it can be done. You may want to investigate the process first. Painting cabinets is time consuming and you would hate for all your hard work to peel or fall apart or pill like a sweater. So find the best products and find the process so you will be pleased with your results. And talk the folks at Benjamin Moore where you want to buy your paint. They will know and have products to help you.

Your granite is pinkish, so anything with yellow tones in it is going to look bad. White Dove might work, you need to buy a sample and paint up a piece of poster board or foam core board and compare it to the granite under different lighting conditions/times of day. You can take a photo of the sample against the granite and post it, but looking at colors on computer monitors is not very accurate.

didn't have time to read all the answers. I have no backsplash and have never regretted it...been over 6 yrs. It is painted with BM matte...which has ceramic in it. It is as beautiful now as it was when first painted. I love the fact that I can showcase other things ...art etc in my kitchen and no competition. Also if I ever want to change it is as quick as a paint brush...expense is minimal..paint only ! All in all I think it is serene as you point out . Here is one pick. Since I have a lot of high heat cooking in my kitchen..built in deep fat fryer as well as gas cook top I can definitely speak to the longevity of paint only. c ( more at this album )

First thing to do is make sure you have the optimal efficient layout. Even if you think you do, I'd strongly recommend posting it here. The folks on here saved me from a huge mistake, had I gone with the design of the "highly recommended genius architect" that I'd hired to design my kitchen.
