Help, Need Front Door Paint Color Expert
Comments (1)Of course a picture speaks a 1000 words and it is hard to offer suggestions with out one but my first thought was to continue the trim from the windows to the entry which is white and paint the door red. I know you said you're afraid that it will look too busy, but I'm thinking it will tie all of the areas together. A warm brick(ish) red would be nice as would a more bright red. Both look lovely with colors in the green family....See MoreI Need help with paint color for front door and screen. Awnings & trim
Comments (8)Hi Debbie: Just got to check out Behr paints last evening. I didn't get any samples, so this is just from color swatches. Here's my recommendations: - If you can find a paint color consultant in your area, I bet it will be worth your time and $. They may recommend colors you've never thought of, painting the brick, etc. The sheen of the paint you choose, as well as the paint product can affect the appearance of the color you pick. Pros are great at guiding you through this. - To keep it simple, I'd do your trim and screen door in Behr Painter's White (PPU18-8), Eggshell or Satin Enamel - A safe color for your front door would be a green (assuming you don't paint the brick). I'd do the front door in Semi-Gloss Enamel. A few possibilities are (all Behr) Alpine Air BXC-38, Potting Moss BXC-82, Simply Sage PPU10-16. Would love to see you "after" picture!...See MoreFRONT DOOR ENTRY HELP
Comments (17)Your entrance has great bones and I love the stone work. Take away the tiny rug and if you want a rug it should be of a much more substantial size, rectangular. The pots on either side need to go, they are too small and neutral. If you want to have pots they should be much larger, dark cast iron. such a low light area means plants don't belong there so fill with dried element s if you like that look. Maybe lighting needs to be improved by installing pot lights that would illuminate the area beautifully. A brighter paint on the front door night also help spruce up the area and bring focus to the home entrance....See MoreNeed help choosing paint color for front door
Comments (6)What a pretty home! I think a white would look nice especially since its used in the trim, would work nice with the door handle they currently have too. If youre wanting to restain the wood I would try a stain that neutralizes the yellow....See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
