I love jalousie windows, but it's been so long since I've seen them that I can't remember if they have screens. If they do I'd think about changing the screen instead of finding window treatments that would block that much needed breeze. We recently changed our standard fiberglass screen to solar shade screens. During the day you can't see inside unless your nose is pressed up against the screens. At night when lights are on behind something you can see shadows, but if lights are between you and the window then you still have complete privacy. We got ours at Lowes last year, but noticed this year they only carry them in one size, 36" x 84" and are a different brand. New York Wire and are called Sun Guard 90. Your floor is beautiful. Do you really need to cover it with a rug? Do you have window coverings? Do the Windows open? Is there a door to the outside? What is the purpose of the room, and how often do/will you use it? It looks like a lovely, simple room to enjoy sort of being outdoors. I have a sun room, too. It's a lovely place especially in the mornings and evenings. Mine is not heated, but spring, summer and fall we enjoy being in the room. No rug, (and my floor is just painted concrete so not beautiful like yours. Nice, though.) just a couch like yours, a small table and chairs for two, reading lamps, and lots of plants. Keep it simple.

@3onthetree - I should have looked at the drawing closer before I posted my question! A few hours after posting, I looked a little closer - and realized that it was the T&G cedar boards for the ceiling. I meant to come back here to correct my initial post - but have been a little crazy the past few days. I have other notes/specs for the project - I just didn’t post them because I didn’t think anyone would want to read them. I do, however, have a few other Qs - so, I will post what was submitted to the city + add some photos later tonight. I truly appreciate any comments/advice you have after looking at the notes/photos (if you have time). Thanks! @Patricia Colwell - As I explaiined in my post, only a portion of the patio will be covered. The firepit is located on the other side of the patio + set away from the house.
